History: Vlad Tepes, son of Vlad Dracul, the Scourge of the Turks
is most commonly known as Dracula. Once just a man, he was
sold into captivity by his own father to ensure peace with his ene-
mies. He was beaten savagely and was forged into something
harder. Cast, like a bronze icon into the vicious warlord who
walked lazily through forests of the impaled and dying. Dracula
was savoring a rain of blood as if it were a summer shower.
Dracula was later transformed into something much darker, a
vampire. Dracula was intent on draining this living world dry,
leaving behind dust, death, and the ravenous legions of his bas-
tard children. His thirst was everlasting.
Now, Dracula is being pursued by Vampirella through
the beating heart of Seattle. But greeting Vampirella were a nest
of Dracula’s bastard children. They were mostly young, drunk on
the blood of victims they’ve harvested from the dance club that
they were beneath. But one of Dracula’s daughters, Le Fanu, she
was different than the rest of his children. She carries a key,
which makes her different than other vampires. Le Fanu smells
of dust, grave dirt, and stale lavender, and the sickly, sweet rot of
something diseased and ancient. Dracula plucked her from the
streets of Paris when the air smelled of death and revolution.
Once she was a peasant girl, then she was made queen.
Vampirella defeats the rest of Dracula’s children, but Le Fanu
would escape! Vampirella ended up taking something a key from
Le Fanu, and Le Fanu threatened to kill an innocent unless her
procession was returned. Vampirella was able to outwit Le Fanu,
defeating and seemingly killing her, while also leaving with the
mysterious prized possession.
The vibrating key would transport Vampirella into a
blinding abyss, bringing her face-to-face with Dracula himself.
Dracula tells Vampirella that there is actually something worse
than Vampires. This wormlike creature, named Yad-Ath
Vermellus, is impossibly ancient, born before time began and has
a hunger that makes the thirst of a vampire pale in comparison.
Dracula tells Vampirella that since she was able to survive the
creature’s touch, and that since she has they key, he tells her that
this makes Vampirella vital in the war that’s coming. And she
could save us all. But Vampirella doesn’t believe Dracula. She
believes that his “helpful” warning is playing on Vampirella’s Recently, Dracula gained the ability to withstand the ultraviolet
desire to save humanity. Not willing to play into Dracula’s trap,
Vampirella intends to attack Dracula instead!
But Dracula re-affirms his stance to Vampirella; that he
is not the enemy and they must join forces in revolt against the
Yag-Ath Vermellus. Dracula pleads for Vampirella’s help while
offering his own. Le Fanu returns, and she worships the Yag-Ath
Vermellus. Dracula asks Vampirella for the key, and Vampirella
finally relents. Dracula promises that his word is true. That if he
has the key, he will use it to save everyone. But Dracula lied. He
does this by using the key to make Vampirella the host of Yag-Ath
Vermellus, while fending off the desires of La Fanu. Dracula and
Vampirella successfully fend-off Yag-Ath Vermellus, saving the
world!
More recently, Dracula has become entwined in the
Prophecy of 2012, joining heroes and villains alike in a bid to save
the world from the sorcerous villainy of Kulan Gath.

Real Name: N/A
Occupation: Sorcerer
Identity: n/a
Legal Status: Citizen of the city of Yagala during the Hyborian Age
Other Aliases: Borat-Na Fori
Place of Birth: Stygia, Hyborian Age
Marital status: Single
Known relatives: Deceased
First appearance: Conan the Barbarian #14 (Marvel Series 1972)
First Modern Appearance: Red Sonja #0– As the Borat-Na Fori
(Dynamite Series 2005)

History: Apprenticing under the arch-mage Thoth-Amon, Kulan

Gath was driven out of Stygia for practicing sorcery forbidden
even by worshippers of Set.
Wandering the ancient world, he accumulated mysti-
cal knowledge - becoming a threat to the kingdoms of the
Hyborian Age… and eventually the freedom of the modern world.
Kulan Gath’s fate is forever entwined with that of Red
Sonja, as the Hyrkanian warrior shares a familiar bond with Gath
through Scáthach, the goddess whom Sonja serves. It was
revealed that Gath and Scáthach were once lovers, long ago.
Red Sonja first encountered the villainy of Kulan Gath
when the sorcerer worked behind the scenes in Gathia. The peo-
ple of Gathia served the god Borat-Na Fori, whose presence and
energy was powered by Gath himself. Red Sonja was brought as
sacrifice to this god, only to defeat him and liberate Gathia from
the puppet gods rule. Enraged by this defeat, Gath steps from out
of the shadows to deal with Sonja more directly… and personal-
ly.
Kulan Gath soon took the Scáthach as his prisoner.
Gath continued to believe the world would fall to him as it was
foretold and that it was his destiny to rule. But the Goddess was
not deterred by his delusions and remained faithful that Sonja
would save her and end Gath’s continued attempts at power.
During their inevitable encounter, it was revealed that
Sonja is as much a part of Gath as she is of the Scáthach, for
Gath’s essence fuels a small part of her. Sonja ended this last con-
flict be seemingly sacrificing herself to send Gath to the under-
world, tho this surely was not the end of the sorcerer and his
desire to conquer all of Hyboria.
Gath has appeared in the age of modern man as well,
along with his eternal foe, Red Sonja. Three separate times has
Gath’s magical amulet opened the ages to the conqueror, where
he has used his power to transform the world into one more fit-
ting his vision. The first two times he attempted this, Gath sought
to roll out his influence across the United States, using a trans-
formed New York City as his base of power. Each of these times
he was thwarted by Red Sonja. Most recently, Gath has attempted
to subjugate the world by stepping into the early days of modern
man and fulfilling the world ending Prophecy of 2012. It remains
unclear if the power of Red Sonja will thwart this latest attempt.
