Introduction

With NSB Online Banking Services offered free of charge, enjoy the convenience of obtaining
an array of banking services amidst the comfort of your workplace or home.

Customer easily do the Fund transfer, Bill payment and Account details through Online Banking
Service.

User can go to e-connect site via “https://www.nsb.lk/” link and click on “Online Banking” link.

Login
First time login

Once customer is registered with the Online Banking by giving the required applications,
he/she should get the login details to his/her email address. Following image is a sample
of email that the customer is getting.

To activate the Online Banking, customer should have the login details and
authentication code. Customer should get the Authentication Code (Activation Code) via
SMS, following image is a sample of SMS.

Activation Code

Go to login page (https://internetbank.nsb.lk), enter username in user name field and


password in password field (password is case sensitive).

Once customer logged in to application successfully, application will redirect to the
Change Password Page.

Create your own password which contain only


letters (uppercase and lowercase) and numbers.

Ex. ASoiuE123

Once customer has successfully changed the login password, he/she should re-login to
the application with his/her new password. Then application will redirect to the welcome
page.

In the menu bar, click on the Change Password link and change your Override
Password. In the Change Password page, select “Override Password” from password
type.

Refer the login details which sent in the email and get the override password.

By filling required details customer can change the override password. It is better to use
two different passwords for login and override passwords. Make sure to create a complex
password. Once the override password is changed, customer able start doing the
transactions.

Normal login

Go to login page (https://internetbank.nsb.lk), enter username in user name field and


password in password field (password is case sensitive).

If customer has entered correct username or password, application will redirect to the
Welcome Page. Otherwise it will show relevant error message.

If customer is getting an error message as "Invalid Username or Password" then he/she


must complete the Internet Banking reset password application to branch to reset the
forgot password.

Functions

There are eight main functions in the Online Banking application.

Dashboard

Dashboard is a Summary of customer’s accounts. If customer wants to link new


account, he/she has to complete account link application to branch.

Under four subcategories, Dashboard will display the information.

• Savings
• Loan
• Ez Cash
• Fixed Deposits

Account Details

All the linked accounts will display in the account detail page. By clicking on the
account no., customer can see the last 15 transactions’ details.

Utility Payments

Following bill types can be paid from this function. Customer can select the
required savings account from “From Account” list. Then bill payment will
deduct from the selected savings account.

Fund Transfer
There are two main categories under Fund Transfer.

 Local Currency Transfer

All the linked accounts come under the “LINKED ACCOUNTS -NSB”
category. If customer wants to send funds to NSB account which is not
linked, then customer must select “NON-LINK ACOUNTS -NSB”
category.

If customer wants to send money to person who doesn’t have account in


NSB, then customer can send funds through SPEED CASH- NSB option.

To transfer funds to other bank account, customer has to select “OTHER


BANK ACCOUNTS”. For credit card payment customer has to select
“CREDIT CARD” option.

 Foreign Currency Transfer

Foreign currency fund transfer comes under this category. First customer
has to link his/her Personal Foreign Currency Account by giving required
application (Activation-of-PFCA-Fund-transfer-through-Internet-
Banking.pdf) to branch.

Loan Payments

Customer can easily transfer funds to loan accounts which are already linked.
Required loan accounts should be linked by giving the link application to NSB
branch.

Transaction History

In the Transaction History page customer able view payments under five
categories.

Change Password

Customer can change his/her password anytime by go to the Change Password.


It’s recommended to change the password once a month.
