Padres' protections were expanded by the Crown, giving them greater oppressive powers such

as blatant land grabs. Across the years, religious organisations have grown to be one of the
most important foundations of Spanish colonial authority. Almost all of the president's
executive and administrative duties were also undertaken out at the municipal level by Agustin,
Benedictine, and Carmelite brethren towards the end of the middle ages 1700s.
Individuals are responsible for human and physical capital reforms, the preservation of census
and accounting transactions, the disclosure of community members' behavior and attitudes,
the oversight of policemen and community leaders, and the tracking of religious liberty and
treachery to police. They were in charge of overseeing the hiring of regional security personnel.
