Pneumatic Tools: Connected To Innovation
Pneumatic Tools: Connected To Innovation
Pneumatic tools
PREVOST was established in 1978 and offers a range of products designed for compressed air
networks and fluid circulation. Innovation and quality have always been two guiding principles in the
company's development, which is why many of the products marketed by PREVOST are patented.
With its range of pneumatic tools, impact drivers, ratchet wrenches, power screwdrivers, sanders,
grinders, drills, chisel hammers, cutting tools, specialist tools and accessories, PREVOST offers a
selection of technical products designed to withstand the demands of professional use in bodywork
shops, garages, general mechanics, industry, metalwork, woodwork and more.
conformity
The PREVOST range of pneumatic tools is compliant with the Machinery Directive
2006/42/EC and meets all the applicable requirements of this directive. All tools are
compliant with the requirements of the ISO 15744 and ISO 28927 standards in relation
to noise and vibration levels.
Connection adaptors
PREVOST pneumatic tools are supplied with three quick connection adaptors.
The adaptor profiles are as follows:
These are fully compatible with couplings with the corresponding profiles, owing to their
high-quality machining (dimensions, dimensional tolerance, hardness and protection
against corrosion). The adaptors used with PREVOST couplings ensure a safe and
durable coupling and adaptor system in even the most demanding usage conditions.
Nevertheless, for tools that emit a high level of vibration (e.g. impact drivers, chisel
hammers), we recommend fitting an anti-vibration sleeve (flexible hose connected to
a compressed air network).

Square driver
The square driver on our impact wrenches is fitted with a
snap ring lock. The square driver on our ratchet wrenches
is fitted with a ball lock. Both systems ensure that the
socket fits perfectly in the square driver and are
compliant with the ASME B107.4:2005 standard.
Direction of rotation
The rotation direction of the socket can be
changed easily, using just one hand, by
pushing the lever from one side to the other.
Working comfort
The ergonomic rubber handle ensures users comfort.
It absorbs vibrations and protects against the cold.
A silencer built into the body of the handle reduces
the level of exhaust noise.
IMPACT MECHANISMS
Indicates the type of impact mechanism selected
for the application. Determines the quality level.
Tightening/unscrew torque
For optimum assembly, bolted parts must be appropriately tightened.
The PREVOST range meets the requirements of various tasks, from
240 Nm to 2400 Nm.
It offers power and speed for intensive applications such as changing
tyres and for various other vehicle assembly and maintenance tasks.
The rated torque is reached 3 - 5 seconds after the point of contact.
The rated torque is one of the reference values for tool selection. The
maximum torque is reached 10 - 15 seconds after the point of contact.
This torque corresponds to the maximum tightening power.
An adjustment dial at the rear of the tools enables the required torque
to be selected.
