Step 3 — The computer will look for all the files throughout the system and show the results in the window.

To play an audio CD or an audio file, follow these steps-
Step 1 — Insert the audio CD in the DVD drive.
Step 2 — Click the ‘Windows Media Player’ icon. It will open the Windows Media Player.
Step 3 — Click ‘File’ and then ‘Open’. It will display all the drives of the system.
Step 4 — Select the drive where your favourite CD or audio file is present.
Step 5 — Click 'Open'.
Step 6 — It will display all the audio files or folders of the selected drive.
Step 7 — Select all the audio files and click ‘Open’.
Step 8 — Windows Media Player will start playing the songs and display the title of the song it is playing
on the screen.
(b) To play video files or a video CD/DVD
To play video files or a video CD/DVD, perform the following steps-
Step 1 — Insert the video CD/DVD in the DVD drive.
Step 2 — Click the ‘VLC Media Player’ icon. It will open the VLC Media Player.
Step 3 — Click ‘Media’ and then ‘Open File’. It will display all the drives of the system.
Step 4 — Select the drive where the video CD/DVD or the video file is present.
Step 5 — Click ‘Open’.
Step 6 — It will display all the video folders of the selected drive.
Step 7 — Select the video folder and click ‘Open’.
Step 8 — The VLC Media Player will start playing the video file on the screen.
