Monitoring Unit Function Introduction
SMU02C The SMU02C (SMU for short) is a compact high-end monitoring
module that monitors and manages Huawei's box-type and
cabinet-type power systems.
The SMU can manage a site power system through the liquid crystal
display (LCD), web user interface (WebUI), and Huawei NetEco.
UIM02C It provides sensor ports, RS485 ports, and dry contact input and
output ports to manage the interior environment of the power system
and to report alarms.
NIM02D It provides sensor ports, and FE ports to connect the NMS or smart
device such as an IP camera.
NIM01C3 It provides a wireless antenna port and 12 V COM port to manage
intelligent electronic locks and cameras and to report alarms.

USB Ports
You can quickly deploy a site, import and export configuration files, export running logs, and
upgrade software by inserting the USB flash drive that is specially used for site deployment
into the USB port.
After installing the specific WiFi module using the USB port, you can access the WebUI
locally, which facilitates operations.
Using WiFi modules provided by another vendor may cause data loss or function exception.
Consequences arising from this will not be borne by Huawei.

CSA to the sum of the cross-sectional areas of
the two cables.
For example:
If battery routes 1 and 2 are respectively connected to a battery string (each battery string consists of four 12
V, 150 Ah batteries in series), set Battery 1 Connected and Battery 2 Connected to Yes and others to No,
and set Single-String Cap. to 150 Ah.
If battery route 1 is connected to two battery strings in parallel (each battery string consists of four 12 V,
150 Ah batteries in series), set Battery 1 Connected to Yes and others to No, and set Single-String Cap. to
300 Ah.

5.1.4 Setting the Alarm Enable Option, Alarm Severity, and
Associated Relays
You can enable or disable each alarm based on site requirements. If an alarm is enabled,
the monitoring unit generates the alarm when the alarm condition is met. If an alarm is
disabled, the monitoring unit does not generate the alarm.
You can set the severity of an alarm to critical, major, minor, or warning.
You can associate an alarm with a specific dry contact output relay.
