a. Assuming yourself to be the purchase office of Aradhana Opticals, 24, Vijay

Marg, Patna, write a complaint to Ageless Glasses, 121, Paharganj, New
Delhi, reporting that the three of the six consignments containing glasses
have been received in a damaged condition. Ask for the replacement of the
damaged goods and seek compensation for the postage charges incurred.
b. Assuming that your organization has recently conducted a week-long training
programme for newly recruited junior level managers. The training
programme was aimed at improving the communication and interpersonal
skills of the young personnel. The programme included expert lectures by
resource persons including Prof. Ajay Kashyap of the Institute of English
Language and Communication Studies, New Delhi. Assuming yourself to be

appreciation letter for Mr. Sunil Bhatti who has been working in your
company as a software engineer. Mr. Bhatti has applied for the position of
Senior Software Engineer in Relics Solutions, Bengaluru and they have written
to you to vouchsafe Mr. Bhatti’s credentials. Draft an appropriate response to
this effect.
d. Write a formal letter of invitation to the MLA of your constituency requesting
him/her to be the chief guest on the inaugural function of the newly formed
cooperative society of your locality. Assume yourself to be the secretary of
the cooperative society. Invent necessary details.

a. Assume that as the Cultural Secretary, you are organizing a flute recitation

9. Prepare précis from the following paragraphs.

Paragraph 1

The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) will start working closely
with banks to kick-start the government's Start-Up India initiative in both rural and
urban India. Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the government
would ensure that startups don't run out of money and that their equity requirements
don't go unattended. The minister was talking to the media on the sidelines of a FICCI
event.

The department is spearheading the Start-Up India initiative announced by Prime

Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day address. Sitharaman said DIPP would
work with banks across the country, especially in rural areas. "If each of these (bank)
branches gives tribal or Dalit population something to start up with, it would take the
whole startup and innovate India (initiative) thought to district level," she said.

DIPP is also working on ways to reach out to the urban educated and the deprived
section of the society to build entrepreneurship. "All over the country, youngsters are
coming up with ideas of entrepreneurship. They don't have time to wait, we don't have
time to lose," Sitharaman said. The commerce minister said there is a need for greater
participation of industry in driving ahead the movement of Skill India. "India needs an
ecosystem where talent and skills can be nurtured. Through our 10,000 crore fund of
fund for startups, we will provide soft loans, capital to those who want to start fresh
enterprises," she said.

immensely lowered the barrier to entry to create a game, but the barrier to building a
successful games business is high. Clearly, not every game will be as popular as Fortnite,
but we were there from the beginning with them. We help developers get their games
seen, paid for and played on a global scale. Through our product portfolio, we are giving
developers the necessary tools, resources and infrastructure that they do not have --
whether it’s building a dedicated store to sell directly to their consumers, transacting in-
game payments, connecting influencers interested in playing the game, or navigating
the new world of blockchain and cryptocurrency.
