Decision Making Tree

Identify Problem
Team members are to define the Problem Statement collectively. Following are the sample
Q’s which should be addressed:
What is the Problem at hand?
Why are we to solve the problem?
In what time frame this problem needs to be solved?
Who are the stakeholders at hand?
What are the success metrics?

Gather Information
Team members have to gather information(individually) for the problem at hand.

Identify Alternatives
Team members to engage in a respectful team discussion to list down possible alternatives

Choose Among Alternatives:


Here team members should follow logical approach while discussing possible alternatives.
Each alternative to be properly weighed and arrive at a Consensus. In a scenario where
team feels conflicted to arrive at a single Consensus, voting to be done to democratically
decide on the Alternatives.

Take Action
Convert your decision into a plan or sequence of Activities. This usually involves division and
execution of work by team members
