DANIEL FAST PRAYER 21-DAY PRAYER OBJECTIVES

FRESH ENCOUNTER: SEEKING GOD TOGETHER FOR REVIVAL IN THE LAND

Day One: SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may
come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you – even
Jesus”. (Acts 3:19-20)
Pray for God to change your life radically during this Daniel Fast. Also, pray for godly
wisdom for Pastor Crute as he leads our Destiny family into this new decade. Ask God to
protect him and his family and give him continual times of refreshing in 2010.

Day Two: AWAKENING IN WALES

“Search me, O God, and know my heart: test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is
any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23-24)
Pray that there will be a sovereign work of God at Destiny that captures the world’s
attention.

Day Three: A CYCLE OF SIN, DISCIPLINE, AND RESTORATION

“I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which
you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to
you and remove your lampstand (church) from its place” (Revelation 2:4-5)
Pray that Destiny remains faithful to the call of God for our church.

Day Four: GOD’S PATTERN FOR REVIVAL AND SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

“Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept
them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD Almighty (Malachi 3:7)
Pray that you will remain committed to the Lord and His purposes.

Day Five: REVIVAL

“You showed favor to your land, O LORD…You forgave the iniquity of your people and covered
all their sins. You set aside all your wrath and turned from your fierce anger. Restore us again, O
God our Savior, and put away your displeasure toward us. Will you be angry with us forever?
Will you prolong your anger through all generations? Will you not revive us again, that your
people may rejoice in you?” (Psalm 85:1-6)
Pray for such a revival in your life that it becomes contagious to others.

Day Six: REVIVAL LEADS TO HARVEST

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for
everyone. … This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to
come to a knowledge of the truth (I Timothy 2:1-4)
Pray that lost people in your sphere of influence will commit their lives to Christ.

Day Seven:
“Restore us again, O God our Savior, and put away your displeasure toward us. Will you be
angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger through all generations? Will you not revive
us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your unfailing love, O Lord, and grant us
your salvation.” (Psalm 85:4-7)

Pray that your Small Group members remain committed to God and each other.

Day Eight: GOD IS ON MISSION

“You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you
may declare the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
(I Peter 2:9)
Pray that you become a person whom God can use in incredible ways to reach others.

Day Nine: GOD’S PEOPLE TEND TO DEPART

“If your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to
other gods and worship them… (Deuteronomy 30:17)
Pray for a greater hunger for the word of God and a lifestyle that reflects your commitment
to it.

Day Ten: GOD’S PLUMB LINE

“This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb,
with a plumb line in his hand. And the LORD asked me, What do you see, Amos? A plumb line
I replied. Then the lord said, Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will
spare them no longer” (Amos 7:7-8)
Ask God to show you areas in your life that don’t align with His word. Pray that He will
help you make whatever adjustments are necessary to follow Him totally.

Day Eleven: SYMPTOM 1: LACKING OBEDIENCE

“If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to
him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching”
(John 14:23-24)
Pray for a life that obeys God word instantly, without hesitation.

Day Twelve: SYMPTOM 2: SUBSTITUTES FOR GOD

“Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws
and his decrees that I am giving you this day. Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when
you build fine houses and settle down, and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver
and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, then your heart will become proud and you will
forget the LORD your God (Deuteronomy 8:11-14)
Ask God to remove anything in your life that has become a substitute for His presence, His
purpose or His way.

Day Thirteen: THE FIRST GREAT AWAKENING

“Your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your
righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. Then you
will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.”
(Isaiah 58:8-9)
Ask God for a Great Awakening that begins first in you, then the body of Christ and
throughout metropolitan Atlanta.
Day Fourteen:
“As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, In the
time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. I tell you, now is the time
of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. (II Corinthians 6-2)

Pray that God’s favor be seen working in your life as you fulfill His purposes.

Day Fifteen: GOD DISCIPLINES HIS PEOPLE

“My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son.
(Hebrews 12:10)
Thank God that he loves you enough to correct and change you. Pray that you will live a
holy life before God.

Day Sixteen: TYPES OF GOD’S JUDGEMENTS

“God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in His holiness. (Hebrews 12:10)
Ask God to help you respond to His discipline and rush back to Him whenever you drift
away.

Day Seventeen: TRUTH ABOUT GOD AND HIS JUDGEMENTS

“He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”
(II Peter 3:9)
Thank God for his patience and pray that His love moves you to repentance.

Day Eighteen: EXAMPLES OF THE WAYS GOD DISCIPLINES

“Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us
but he will bind up our wounds (Hosea 6:1)
Pray that God will make you more sensitive to his voice and quicker to obey His word.

Day Nineteen: REVIVAL UNDER JOSIAH AND HILKIAH

“Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before God when you heard what
he spoke against this place and its people, and because you humbled yourself before me and tore
your robes and wept in my presence, I have you, declares the LORD. Now I will gather you to
your fathers, and you will be buried in peace. Your eyes will not see all the disaster I am going to
bring on this place and on those who live here. (II Chronicles 34:27-28)
Pray that government leaders and those in authority will turn to God.

Day Twenty: AMERICA CRIED OUT TO GOD

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.
(Psalm 33:12)
Pray that God will heal our land as our nation repents and returns to Him.

Day Twenty-One:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my
face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin
and will heal their land. (II Chronicles 7:14)

Pray that God would raise leaders up who will call for national repentance.
