PROJECT – STEPPER MOTOR CONTROL WITH SELECTED
STEPS FOR CONVEYOR BELT (MODIFIED).
A PROJECT IS BASED ON MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT PROJECTS.
IT'S USEFUL FOR INDUSTRIES, MALLS, COAL PLANTS,
PACKAGING INDUSTRIES, MATERIAL HANDLING, INDUSTRIES,
PRODUCTION PLANT ETC. IN OUR PROJECT WE TRY TO SOLVE
SOME PROBLEMS WE SEEN OR SUGGEST BY THE USER LIKE (1)

INTRODUCTION
STEPPER MOTOR CONTROL WITH SELECTED
STEPS FOR CONVEYOR BELT –
▪ The idea of this project is to build a miniature
replica of an industrial process.
▪ The paper presents variable speed belt conveyor
system where the reference speed is changed in
order to achieve improved energy efficiency of
operation.
▪ The recorded measurements show that belt
tension varies within the same limits as under
constant speed operation.
▪ These results introduce a new insight of the
present state of the art in variable speed
conveyor drives.
▪ The system is realized with remote control from
the control center on an open pit mine.

Belt materials
There are five main materials that conveyor
belts are made out of: thermoplastics,
metal, rubber, fabric and leather. Plastics
include polyester, polyvinyl chloride, silicone
and polyethylene. The metals are stainless
and carbon steel, and the fabric
materials are canvas or cotton.
