Assessment and grading criteria
This assignment would be carried out on open book condition. The below are the grading criteria.
Candidates will need to provide evidence to demonstrate their Knowledge and/or skills by showing that
they can:
• Identify the information requirements of user and how these requirements can be met
• Select software applications packages which are appropriate to meet the identified information
requirements
• Use four or more software applications packages to process the identified information
requirements and which output two or more different data types
• Carry out three searches to extract and present relevant information from suitable local and
remote data sources. A minimum of two searches must be from remote computer data sources.
• Plan how to find the information and make decisions about searches taking account of efficiency
in terms of time, cost, effective filtering and outcome.
• Extract information which matches several search criteria. Searches must be different from each
other.
• Integrate two or more different data types from more than two software applications packages
into a single product
• Format the product so that the final output meets the identified information requirements and
is clear and helpful to users

Assignment 02
Case Study - Saegis Campus will host a workshop on 10th Oct 2021 full day starting from 10.00 am at
Campus premises for promoting distance learning. The event will be visited by many local prospective
students. You are required to send a comprehensive detail document of the event which will include the
following,
Carry out the below tasks and provide evidence as instructed.
1. Prepare a one-page information sheet for your event
• Include following,
• List down features/services/products
• Contact details of two nearby hotels/restaurants
• A map around the nearby campus
• Travel instructions on how to get to your campus
• Header containing the company name and logo
Make sure to save the file as “Saegis Campus workshop”. Upload the file in provided assignment link.
2. Recall the report saved as “IT in Application Software” in Modules folder (Report you submitted
for the Assignment-1) and edit it as follows:
• Insert automatic page numbers at the bottom of the report.
• Insert ‘Saegis Campus’ as a header.
• Insert your name and today’s date as a footer.
• Insert an automatic table of contents.
• Insert a front cover and include an appropriate report title and the Saegis Campus logo.
• Tidy up the report as required. Save the updated report. Upload the document to the
assignment link provided.
3. Using Saegis Campus website (http://www.saegis.ac.lk/ ) for reference create a presentation on
Education Programs offered by the campus. Each slide should contain Saegis Campus logo.
Your presentation should contain the following slides:
