Q 1. A plane’s average speed between two cities is 150 m/s. If the trip takes 2.5 hrs, how
far (km) does the plane fly ?

Q 2. A car starts from rest and moves with a velocity of 20 m/s. After 8 seconds the speed
of the car becomes 60 m/s. Find the acceleration.

Q 3. Find the value of final velocity if the initial velocity is 10 m/s, acceleration is 0.11 m/s2
and displacement is 200 m.

Q 4. A truck travelling at a speed of 54 km/hr slows down to 36 km/hr in 10 sec. Find the
retardation in m/s.

Q 5. A ball is thrown upwards, it goes to a height 100 m and comes down.

a) what is the net distance covered ? b) find the net displacement.

Q 6. A bullet hits a sandbox with a velocity of 20 m/s and penetrates it up to a distance of

6 cm. Find the deceleration of the bullet in the sandbox.

Q 7. 45 g of sodium chloride is dissolved in 100 g of water to make a saturated solution at

293 K. Find the concentration of the solution at this temperature.

Q 8. A solution contains 56 ml of alcohol mixed with 0.75 litre of water. Calculate the
concentration of this solution.

Q 9. An object dropped from a cliff falls with a constant acceleration of 10 m/s2. Find its
speed 5 seconds after it was dropped.

Q 10. A ball going down on an inclined plane has an acceleration of 2 cm/s2. What will be its
velocity 3 seconds after the start ?

Q 11. A bus starting from rest moves with an uniform acceleration of 0.25 m/s2 for 2 min.
