1. Are the new scientific inventions take the World towards rapid environmental
destructions?

ANSWER:
- For me, there’s an instance that the new scientific inventions take the World
towards rapid environmental destructions because, more factories exert chemicals that could
harm the environment, especially our mother earth. Also, because of this new scientific
inventions, many trees or environmental resources are used to invent such technologies, so
because of this action, global warming occurs that could harm not only us humans but other
living things that exist here on earth. New scientific inventions such as cars, and other
transportations exert harmful gases that could harm ourselves, and can cause respiratory diseases.
But nevertheless, as time goes by, there are also transportations and other inventions that are eco-
friendly and can lessen the destruction of our environment. These new inventions could be
beneficial because we can make more productive things easier and faster yet, these can cause
several damages on our environment.

2. Is the Face-Aging app another scientific contribution for human benefits or a danger
to our privacy?

ANSWER:
- In my own opinion, this face aging app can be a danger to our privacy because there
are some information being ask and if you will give your personal information, there’s a big
possibility that your information may be stolen from you. And if ever they’ll steal your
information, they may use it for their personal benefits such as stealing money from your bank
account, phishing, or even using picture as covers of some restricted sites. This face-aging is not
as well secured as other applications so we must not easily post pictures and answer some
questions regarding our personal information. Also, because of this face-aging app, some are
faking their ages just to earn profit by fooling other people. Nowadays, many are victims of
hacking, and one of the reasons behind is lack of security and privacy from the application, itself.
So prevent yourself from being a victim of this application, be vigilant and eye-opened.

2. How these inventions during the Ancient time and the Medieval Time can
affect your life?

ANSWER:

These inventions during the Ancient time and the Medieval Time affect
my life by making me realize how lucky we are because our life are easier and
comfortable compared to the life people had way back then. It affect my life
because people before are being pushed by their experiences to invent
innovative inventions that could really be useful as time goes by, and it
reminds us that our experiences would shape us to what we will become and
will do in the future.
During Ancient time, people go places to places just to discover new
things but on today’s era, we are more knowledgeable enough of the things
 happening around us and that is through the help of science and technology.
Before, people exert more effort just to know and discover things as days pass
by but nowadays, when we are curious about something, in just a click in
social media, we can easily access information we want to know about.
On Medieval or middle ages, this is an age wherein people have
discovered a lot of things that contribute a big help to the society that’s why
it’s also called as the Age of Exploration. On this period, inventions started
expanding until this time wherein development of technologies happened.
These new exploration leads to where we are today and how convenient it is
in today’s generation. Everything depends on how you are able to use this
technologies, everything has its own limit and overusing this technologies
could just lead us to something worse.

1. How science and technology can be used to solve society’s problems?

- We all know that science and technology brings a big impact into our lives.
Science technology could help solve society problems and one example of it is the
existence of smartphones. Smartphone is one of the product of science and technology.
Smart phones and other gadgets could help in society’s problems in instance, there are
happenings such as accidents happened in a certain place and through smart phones and
other gadgets, we can easily call for an emergency without exerting too much effort and
spending too much time, by that we can save lives. In our everyday lives, science and
technology take place. Also, an example is discovery of medicines in any type of diseases
wherein without science and technology, we will always be full of questions and we will
die with full of questions inside our minds.
Through science and technology, people’s lives became more comfortable but
there’s also a negative effect if science and technology inventions will be used in an
improper manner. Science and technology help solve society’s problems in a way that it
is easier to disseminate factual information even to a large number of people.

2. How technology impacts society and the environment?

Technology has a positive and negative impacts to the society and environment.
Technology will only be negative to the society if it was abnormally used. An example is
the social media, it should be taken positively because it is a platform that could help
disseminate information because it involves mass number of people, hence, it only
became a negative impact because some spread fake accusations that could harm
someone’s dignity and also someone’s health, specifically, the mental health. The
negative impact of technology to the society is that people tend to be more dependent to
the technologies unlike before wherein people are industrious enough to do the things
even without the help of technologies. The positive impact of technology to the society is
that, they can save time because it make works faster and easier, and can make efficient
and more productive things.
In terms of the environment, the negative impact of technology is some factory
exert gases and toxic chemicals that could possibly harm the environment specifically the
creatures nearby. But the positive side of technology is that there’s less trees being cut
because of less production of books because it was already posted online. And also there
 are technologies that are eco-friendly wherein you already save your time then you also
help saving the mother earth.

1. Write a Reflection Paper on How science and technology affect your life as an individual.

We all know that everywhere we go, whatever we do, everything has something
to do with science and technology. Science and technology serves as the key points of
knowledge and inventions. As an individual and as a student, science and technology has
a big impact and has a big role in my life.
When it comes to technologies such as smartphones, laptops, tablet and other
more gadgets, it helped me through my studies because as an imperfect human being
there are things that we missed to know about but by the help of these technologies,
we’re able to discover and answer some queries in our heads. If we will imagine living in
ancient times we will already conclude life is hard, right? It is because since we were
born we are already surrounded by the things that was made because of science and
technology. As an individual who belongs generation Z, we are now into greater things
and greater discoveries. As time goes by, there are additional information being added
because of new inventions and discoveries made by the experts. If there’s no science and
technology, maybe we’re still clueless and dumb of certain things and also, maybe many
people are dead right now. Imagine having a sickness without no one knowing what kind
of illness is that and no one knows what to do with that and no one knows any
medication. It’s hard right? But because of science technology, life changes and life
becomes more productive.
In conclusion, Science and Technology is crucial and can’t be move away in our
life because our life mostly depend on it.
