ASSIGNMENT 3 QUESTIONs

1. Differentiate between Environmental Management System and Environmental


Management Plan (5 mks)

These are two different things that play an important role in Environmental management.
You need to be able to differentiate the two of them. The following should be highlighted
in the differences presented.

• The meaning of each one of them


• Their purpose
• What they comprise of
• Their usefulness in Environmental management

2. Identify an organization of your choice and discuss the steps involved in the
development of an Integrated Environmental Management System for that
organization. Please note that the discussion should be focused on the specific
organization you have identified. (20 mks)

In this question, you are expected to do the following

1. Describe what the main steps are in developing an IEMS


2. Identify an organisation. It must be a specific organisation of your choice
3. explain how you would go through these steps to come up with a management
system for the specific organisation selected. This must be related to the
organisation seleceted. General descriptions will not be accepted.
