Hi Mr. Radhakrishnan,
Thanks for your decision to provide the interconnection main line to connect sprinkler system in Bay1, 2 &
3. Please note my comments on the submitted drawing:
1. The proposed interconnection line is laid inside the trenches, however, it is suggested to make it
above ground to avoid any chances of leakage, accessibility and maintenance.
2. The proposed interconnection pipeline size has not been mentioned on the drawing, It is requested
to mention the same on drawing. Ideally, the Fire protection contractor is required to run the
hydraulics for Bay1, 2 & 3 sprinkler system to confirm the adequacy of sprinkler system from the
pump room to the remotest sprinkler area (taking the interconnection pipe size in to account) and
submit the calculation for review. Please ask M/S Jaydheep Techno to do the same and contact me
for any clarification.
3. The submitted yard mains does not show the spacing of supports, ii is recommended to provide
supports at every 4.5 meters.
4. The submitted drawing does not indicate the pipe material type, it is requested to mention the
same on drawing.
5. Provide a flushing connection at the end point of the interconnection pipe, open to drains to flush
the system. Additionally, one or two FM Approved sectional valves should be provided on the mains
to isolate the system for various maintenance/isolation reasons.
6. The sectional drawings at the risers show the use of OS& Y valves, it is requested to provide the
model number of these valves to verify whether it is FM Approved or not.
It is requested to M/S Jaydheep Techno to submit the revised hydrant drawing along with hydraulic

calculation (and sprinkcalc files) for Bay1, 2 & 3 to confirm the adequacy of pipe sizes.

Further to your earlier advice we have provided Fire Hydrant system with Sprinklers in Bay 1 to Bay 3 and we
have planned to inter connect the Main pipe with the Main line available near Bay 12 (Hex plant) .
We have give this to M/S Jaydheep Techno Enterprises who has done Fire Hydrant work in our BCP plant

Wd we have received Drawing which has been forwarded with this mail of laying the same in the New Storm
water drain near to the Bay with necessary support and clamping and made provision for connecting the
inter connections for all the Bays.
