the discussions.
To visualize how big the number given in a certain situation or
problem. Here are the steps.
Step 1: Know the number.
Step 2: Identify the digits and corresponding place value.
Step 3: Based on the place value and the corresponding
value you can now determine how big or small is the
number.
Read the situation below and explore visualizing numbers.
Kim was inspired to continue their family business someday after
his father told him that they collected a total of 12 534 eggs just for a
week.
Do you know how big 12 534 is? Can you represent the number
by using number discs?
You may use any shapes or objects that can be drawn easily as a
representation of numbers.
In this module, we will use number disc to show how big the
numbers are.
