A TESTING
All ductwork shall be tested for leakage in Section 15990
A.1 accordance with the recommendation and Part 3
manuals of SMACNA. Clause 3.02

Leakage rate from any ductwork shall not exceed

the permissible limits as determined by SMACNA.

If the leakage rate exceeds the permissible limits,
the source(s) of leakage shall be located, defective Section 15990

Test each high velocity air duct with air pressure
not less than 2.5 KPa pressure before external
insulation is applied.

Test reports will be submitted for Engineer’s
review. The test report will be in accordance with
B.1 the reporting requirements in the SMACNA Air Section 15990
Duct Leakage Test.
Records of all leakage test shall be prepared and

Note: Other Inspection criterias which is not in this list & aplicable as per site condition shall be refered to the
technical specification & approved IFC/Shop drawing.
