I. OBJECTIVE PERSONALITY TEST
1. 16 Personality Factor Test (16 PF)

It is a self-report assessment instrument treated by Raymond Cattell- a British


Psychologist. The test uses the public domain scale from the International Personality
item pool that were developed also by Lewis Goldberg.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The test measures the 16 normal
adult personality dimensions.

b) ADMINISTRATION - The test can be administered to 16 years upward of


age individually or in group and computerized session however, preceded
by a clinical interview by the psychologist. The test is composed of 185
multiple choice along with 26 multiple choice items for the couples of
counselling reports.

c) TIME ALLOTMENT- Test takers may complete the test approximately


35-50 minutes.

d) SAMPLE ITEM

1. “I occasionally tell stranger things that seem to me important, regardless of


whether they ask about them.”
2. “I find it embarrassing to have praise or complement bestowed on me.”

2. Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory- 2

A test developed by Starke Hathaway and JC McKinley to help health professionals


in assessing personality traits and psychopathology. Its first publication was in 1943
and was updated to what is now known as the MMPI-2.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The MMPI-2 is specifically


designed with 10 clinical scales which assess 10 major categories of
abnormal human behavior, and four validity scales which assess the
person’s general test-taking attitude and whether they answered the items
on the test in a truthful and accurate manner.

b) ADMINISTRATION- The test is a protected psychological instrument and


should be administered individually or in group (18 years of age and
above) by a trained test administrator. The test can be scored by hand or by
a computer but the result should always be interpreted by a qualified
mental health professional that has had extensive training in MMPI
interpretation.

c) TIME ALLOTMENT- The test is composed of 567 true-false question


about yourself and can be completed within 60-90 minutes.

d) MANNER OF INTERPRETATION - Very high score in this test may


indicate a mental health disorder wherein anything above 65 and anything
below 50 is considered clinically significant and open for interpretation.
Scores are converted to what are called normalized T-score on a scale
ranging from 30-120. The normal range of T-score is from 50-65.

Disclaimers: This online multiphasic personality test is based on the


Minnesota Multi Phasic Personality Inventory-2 scale (though not the
equivalent of the official MMPI-2). It will allow you to obtain your score on
psychological criteria that may be present according to the classic
multiphasic personality scale.

3. Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator

This test is a self-report inventory designed to identify a person's personality type,


strengths, and preferences. The questionnaire was developed by Isabel Myers and her
mother Katherine Briggs based on a theory of psychological “types” developed by the
Swiss psychologist Carl Jung. 

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? This test is designed to


measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and
make decisions. These preferences were extrapolated from
the typological theories proposed by Carl Gustav Jung.

b) ADMINISTRATION - The MBTI assessment is administered either online


or with paper and pencil, most often through a certified individual who has
met certain professional requirements for interpreting the results of the
instrument.

c) TIME ALLOTTMENT - The test consists of 130 questions and takes


about 10-15 minutes to complete.

4. Panukat ng Pagkataong Pilipino

The test was originally constructed in Pilipino for research, screening for
employment, screening for accepting into programs and for counselling.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The PPT assesses 19 dimensions

individual whose age is 13 years and above; for test takers who are

c) TIME ALLOTTMENT - It usually takes about 50 minutes to one hour to
complete the testing if all three forms which composed of 210 items is
administered.

5. Panukat ng Ugali at Pagkatao

The Panukat ng Ugali at Pagkatao (PUP) is a psychological measure created


by Dr. Vergilio Enriquez that may be used for research, recruitment and/or
admission in an institution. It is composed of 24 subscales that indicate
dimensions of Filipino characteristics. Overall, PUP is composed of 160 items.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The test measures Filipino-


oriented traits, behaviors, and attitudes, primarily to identify inventive
talent.

b) ADMINISTRATION – the test can be administered individually or by


group using paper and pen.

c) TIME ALLOTMENT – The test may take about 30-45 minutes to finish
and can be scored either manually using 15 scoring acetates or using the
computerized system developed for scoring the test.

II. PERSONALITY TEST
1. Big Five Personality Test

A test that was developed by John Oliver in 1998 which is very helpful in identifying
leisure activities that align with personality, identifying personality types that might
be influencing behavior, & monitoring changes in personality type. The test measures
an individual on the Big Five Factors (dimensions) of personality.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The Big Five personality test
measures the five personality factors that psychologists have determined
are core to our personality makeup. The Five Factors of personality are:

 Openness - How open a person is to new ideas and experiences


 Conscientiousness -How goal-directed, persistent & organized a
person is.
 Extraversion - How much a person is energized by the outside world
 Agreeableness  - How much a person puts others' interests and needs
ahead of their own
 Neuroticism - How sensitive a person is to stress and negative
emotional triggers

b) ADMINISTRATION - The test is consisting of 44 items that you must


rate on how true they are about you on a five-point scale where
1=Disagree, 3=Neutral and 5=Agree. The test can be administered
individually or in group to older children and up which can be
administered through paper and pencil test or can be computerized.
c) TIME ALLOTTMENT - The test consists of 44 questions and takes about
5-10 minutes to complete.

2. Millon Clinical Multi-Axial Inventory

Provides a measure of 24 personality disorder and clinical syndromes for adults


undergoing psychological or psychiatric assessment or treatment. Specifically
designed to help assess both Axis 1 and Axis II Disorders, this psychological test
assist clinicians in psychiatric diagnosis, developing a treatment approach that takes
into account the patient’s personality style and coping behavior and guiding treatment
decisions based on the patient’s personality pattern.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The test consists of 14


personality disorder scales and 10 clinical syndrome scale, each of which
helps to determine whether the person may have a personality disorder or
mental disorder such as depression and anxiety.

b) AMINISTRATION - The test is used with individuals 18 years and older.


Administration and interpretation of results should only be completed by a
professional with the proper qualifications.

c) TIME ALLOTTMENT - Composed of 175 true-false question and usually


takes the average person less than 30 minutes to complete.

3. Gordon Personal Profile Inventory

The GPP-I test was developed by Leonard V. Gordon and is used as a candidate
selection tool for jobs in industrial, business, educational, military, and other settings.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The test has been designed to
measure nine important personality-based competencies that are required,
in various combination for many roles within organizations today.
Personality consists of interest, work style preferences and work values.
The Gordon Personal Profile−Inventory (GPP−I) is designed as well to
measure personality traits that are predictive of job success.

b) ADMINISTRATION - The GPP-I is short, with 38 sets each of four items.


Each of the 38 sets consists of four short (4 to 10-word) descriptions of
personal characteristics. Respondents are asked to choose one item that is
most like them and one that is least like them.

c) TIME ALLOTTMENT - The test has no time limit.

III. PROJECTIVE PERSONALITY TEST

1. Rorschach Inkblot - A projective method of psychological testing in which a


person is asked to describe what he or she sees in 10 inkblots, of which some are black
or gray and others have patches of colour. The test was introduced in 1921 by Swiss
psychiatrist Hermann Rorschach.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES?- The Rorschach Test is a


projective psychological test developed in 1921 by Hermann Rorschach to
measure thought disorder for the purpose of identifying mental illness. It was
inspired by the observation that schizophrenia patients often interpret the
things they see in unusual ways.

b) ADMINISTRATION- The Rorschach technique is administered using 10


cards, each containing a complicated inkblot pattern; five in black and gray,
two in black and red, and three in various pastel colors. Subjects are instructed
to look at the shape, shading, and color of the inkblots. Subjects look at the
cards one at a time and describe what they think each inkblot resembles.
The Rorschach test is administered individually and is appropriate for
subjects from the age of five to adulthood.

c) TIME ALLOTMENT-The consensus as judged by the medians, is that it


takes 3 hours and 44 minutes to complete the average Rorschach exami-
nation, through the writing of the report, but that some examinations can be
completed in as little as 1 hour and 47 minutes, while others may require
as long as 8 hours and 24 minutes

2. Rosenzweig Picture Frustration test

A test that was originally developed for adults by Saul Rosenzweig . It is administered
to assess personality characteristics, in which the subject is shown scenes depicting
moderately frustrating situations and asked what the frustrated person depicted would
probably do, or how the subject would react in such situations.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? - The Rosenzweig Picture


Frustration Study is a projective personality measure of the respondents
approach to dealing with hypothesized frustration.

b) ADMINISTRATION- The test is administered individually and as the


script of the antagonist is filled in their balloon, respondents are asked to
imagine they are the other person and what would they say in this situation

IV. INTEREST TEST

1. Kuder Occupational Interest Survey

It is a self-report vocational interest test used for vocational guidance and


counseling. It originated in the work of G. Frederic Kuder who first began
publishing on the instrument in 1939.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The Kuder Occupational Interest Survey
measures vocationala interest particularly an individual’s direct similarity to the
average interests of people in an occupation.

b) AMINISTRATION- The survey itself is a paper-and-pencil test that consists of 100


forced-choice triads of activities. For each triad, the person marks the activity
preferred most and preferred least, leaving his or her intermediate choice blank.

2. Campbell Interest and Skill Survey

The Campbell Interest and Skill Survey made by David P. Campbell is a career
assessment instrument that analyzes an individual’s self-reported interests and skills to
assist in effective career planning and decision making. Also, it is Similar to traditional
interest inventories which reflect an individual's attraction for specific occupational
areas.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The Campbell Interest and Skill Survey
measures self-reported vocational interests and skills.

b) ADMINISTRATION- There are several ways to administer the CISS, including the
Internet, local scoring software, an optical scan scoring system, and paper and pencil
administrations using a mail-in scoring service to Pearson Assessments.The CISS also
provides four kinds of scales that help individuals age 15 through adult understand
how their interests and skills relate to important areas in the world of work and to
specific occupations, particularly those requiring a college or professional degree.

c) TIME ALLOTMENT-It takes anywhere from 25 to 40 minutes to complete the 320


multiple-choice items.

3. Strong Interest Inventory

The Strong Interest Inventory Test is a psychological instrument that began its
formation in the years following World War I through the work of E.K. Strong, Jr. 
Strong went on to publish the first version of the Inventory in 1927.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES- The Strong measures your client’s
interest in a broad range of occupations, work activities, leisure activities, and school
subjects. The questionnaire compares how these interests are similar to the interests of
people successfully employed in those occupations. It is used to help people
understand their work interests and to illustrate the kinds of work in which they might
be most satisfied.

b) ADMINISTRATION- The Strong requires at least an eighth-grade reading level


and fluency in English. It is not appropriate for individuals under the age of 13, and
typically is not administered until an individual has reached the age of 16 or 17. The
Strong assessment comprises six sections of items with a total of 291 items, each with
a 5-point response option (strongly dislike, dislike, indifferent, like, and strongly like).
Individuals’ responses are compared to a large general sample of working men and
women (2,250 people) who generally are representative of the racial and ethnic
diversity of the U.S. workforce.

c) TIME ALLOTMENT- Administration typically takes between 30 and 45 minutes.


Individuals can complete the Strong online through the publisher’s SkillsOne Web
site (www.skillsone.com) or manually using mail-in scoring forms.

V. INTELLIGENCE TEST
1. Weschler Adult Intelligence Test (WAIS)

The test was developed to assess cognitive ability for adults.  This instruments
aids in examining the relationship between intellectual functional and
memory.  A common purpose for the WAIS is for educational planning and
placement with older adolescents and adults.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES - The test assesses the intellectual
functioning of adolescents and adults ages 16 to 89.

b) ADMINISTRATION- The test can be administered through Pencil-and-


Paper or web-based (Q-interactive).

c) TIME ALLOTMENT- The test includes 11 sub test with various types of
format and can be take approximately 60-90 minutes.

2. Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children

The Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children (K-ABC) is a standardized test that
assesses intelligence and achievement in children aged 3 to 18 years (the
original Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children ceiling was 12) and contains 18
core and supplementary subtests . The edition published in 1983 by Kaufman and was
revised in 2002 to expand its age range (to cover children ages three to eighteen) and
enhance its usefulness

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? - The Kaufman Assessment


Battery for Children is a measure of processing and cognitive ability for
children and adolescents.

b) ADMINISTRATION- The test is individually administered and


interpretation of results (as with all psychometric testing) requires a competent

examiner who is trained in psychology and individual intellectual assessment
—preferably a psychologist.

c) TIME ALLOTMENT- Administration of the K-ABC takes between 35 and


85 minutes. The older the child, the longer the test generally takes to
administer.

3. Stanford Binet Intelligence Test (Fifth Edition)

The SB5 test was developed by Standford Binet that provides comprehensive coverage
of five factors of cognitive ability: fluid reasoning, knowledge, quantitative reasoning,
visual-spatial processing, and working memory.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales-


Fifth Edition (SB5) have been widely known as the standard for intelligence
measurement since 1916. This collection of 10 subtests, providing Nonverbal, Verbal,
and Full Scale IQ scores and other diagnostic indexes

b) ADMINISTRATION- The test is administered individually through paper and


pencil or online.

c) TIME ALLOTMENT- The test is administered to 2 to 85+ years old which
consume 5 minutes per sub test.

VI. NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL TEST

1. Bender Visual–Motor Gestalt Test

The original Bender Visual Motor Gestalt test was developed in 1938 by
psychiatrist Lauretta Bender which evaluate visual-motor maturity and to
screen children for developmental delays.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The Bender Visual Motor Gestalt test (or
Bender-Gestalt test) is a psychological assessment used to evaluate visual-motor
functioning, visual-perceptual skills, neurological impairment, and emotional
disturbances.

b) ADMINISTRATION- The test is administered to 4 to 85 years and older, it
can be administered individual or in a group setting.

c) TIME ALLOTMENT- The test has no time limit.

2. Boston Naming Test

The Boston Naming Test, introduced in 1983 by Edith Kaplan, Harold Goodglass and
Sandra Weintraub which is commonly used to measure confrontation naming ability as
individuals are required to name the object in the presented picture .

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The Boston Naming Test is a widely
used neuropsychological assessment tool to measure confrontational word retrieval in
individuals with aphasia or other language disturbance caused by stroke, Alzheimer's
disease, or other dementing disorder.

b) ADMINISTRATION- This test consists of 60 line drawings of objects of


graded difficulty, ranging from very common objects (e.g. a tree) to less
familiar objects such as an abacus. The test is administered individually.

c) TIME ALLOTMENT- The BNT takes approximately 15 mins to administer and
contains 15 items. Each item consists of the person being shown a picture and is asked
to name the picture.

3. California Verbal Learning Test (Second Edition)- California Verbal Learning


Test | Second Edition (CVLT-II) is a comprehensive, detailed assessment of verbal
learning and memory deficits in older adolescents and adults.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The California Verbal Learning Test
(CVLT) is a popular clinical and research test that claims to measure key constructs in
cognitive psychology such as repetition learning, serial position effects, semantic
organization, intrusions, and proactive interference.

b) ADMINISTRATION- The test is administered with paper and pencil


format, with the examiner recording the responses. The responses are scored
using the Comprehensive Scoring System, which computes raw scores and
standardized scores for over 50 learning and memory variables.

VII. ACHIEVEMENT TEST

1. Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement Third Edition

The test is an individually administered battery that provides in-depth


assessment and evaluation of key academic skills.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? - KTEA-3 is an individually


administered measure of academic achievement, a comprehensive assessment that
evaluates key reading, maths, written language, and oral language skills. It covers a
wide range of achievement and language domains and includes two independent,

concurrently normed parallel forms (A and B) to help you accurately measure
academic progress and minimise practice effects.

2. Scholastic Achievement Test

A test used in selecting candidates for college admission, formerly called the Scholastic
Aptitude Test. It measures critical reading abilities, mathematical reasoning abilities,
and writing abilities developed over time through work done in school and alone.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The SAT is a standardized test designed
that measures verbal and mathematical abilities and achievement in a variety of
subject areas.

b) ADMINISTRATION- The SAT is a paper and pencil test that can be administered
individually or by group. It is composed of three main sections, each with its own

subsections. The three major sections will be graded on a scale of 200-800. The final
score will be the sum of all sections, a number between 400 and 1600.

c) TIME ALLOTMENT - For both the verbal and mathematical components, two
sections take 30 minutes, and the third takes only 15. This brings the total test time to
2.5 hours. The remaining half hour is devoted to an experimental section called
Equating, which can be either a math or a verbal section.

3. American College Test

The ACT is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States. It is
currently administered by ACT, a nonprofit organization of the same name. The ACT
test covers four academic skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and scientific
reasoning. It also offers an optional direct writing test.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? - The ACT exam, or American College
Test, is a national standardized test that serves as a measurement of aptitude and
critical thinking.

b) ADMINISTRATION- The ACT is a paper pencil test that can be administered


individually or to a group.

c) TIME ALLOTMENT- The first section is the 45-minute English test
covering usage/mechanics, sentence structure, and rhetorical skills. The second
section is a 60-minute, 60-question math test with the usual distribution of questions
being approximately 14 covering pre-algebra, 10 elementary algebra, 9 intermediate
algebra, 14 plane geometry, 9 coordinate geometry, and 4
elementary trigonometry questions. The reading section is a 35-minute, 40-question
test that consists of four sections, three of which contain one long prose passage and
second one contains two shorter prose passages and the science section which is a 35-
minute, 40-question test. All in all, a test taker may take 3-4 hour finishing the set of
questions.

VIII. APTITUDE TEST

1. Flanagan Industrial Test

The tests were developed by John C. Flanagan, who worked with the Army
Air Force Aviation Psychology Program during World War II. The test was
developed to help employers select potential employees.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? The Flanagan Industrial Tests measure


specific aptitudes important for a variety of occupations. The tests may be used
separately or in any combination. They are designed for Supervisory, technical,
office, skilled labour and other industrial positions.

b) ADMINISTRATION- The test are paper and pencil tests and are hand-scored with
scoring stencil, yielding 18 individual scores. They can also be administered
individually or by group.

2. Differential Aptitude Test

A battery of tests designed for use in the educational and vocational counseling of
students in grades 7 to 12 as well as adults.

a) WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES? - The test is a multiple aptitude


test which measures abstract reasoning, mechanical reasoning, verbal
reasoning, language usage, numerical ability, spatial relations, and perceptual
speed and accuracy—pinpoints mental strengths and weaknesses and predicts
success both in school and in the workplace. 

b) ADMINISTRATION- The test can be administered through online or paper


and pencil. The DAT contains two levels, with two equivalent alternate forms

for each level and is suitable for group administration and is primarily for use
in educational and vocational counseling, although it may be used in employee
selection.
 
c) TIME ALLOTMENT- The DAT is used with adults looking at a wide range
of career and planning options, including some industrial firms. The online
DAT test consists of 6 sections and together takes around 3hours to complete.

IX. DIAGNOSTIC TEST


1. Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction velocity (NCV). These tests
evaluate and diagnose disorders of the muscles and motor neurons. Electrodes are
inserted into the muscle or placed on the skin overlying a muscle or muscle group.
Electrical activity and muscle response are recorded.

2. Electroencephalogram (EEG). This test records the brain's continuous electrical


activity through electrodes attached to the scalp.

3. Neurosonography. This test uses ultra high-frequency sound waves. It allows


the healthcare provider to analyze blood flow in cases of possible stroke.
