SDLC Model Selection Guide

Prototype model is the most appropriate SDLC model for scenario 1. The prototype model is used when requirements are unclear or unstable, allowing a proof of concept to be developed and shared with the client to gather initial feedback and requirements. For scenario 1, the client wants a demonstration of robotic arms as a proof of concept before providing full requirements. Agile model is most appropriate for scenario 2. The agile model focuses on customer satisfaction, flexibility, and continuous improvement, allowing integration of different segments to satisfy the client's needs to speed up transactions and better serve different customer types. Agile reduces risks and facilitates the integration required by the scenario.

Q 01: identify the most appropriate SDLC model for above scenario 1.
Prototype Model is the better option in Scenario 1.

The Prototyping Model should be used when the requirements of the product are not clearly understood or
are unstable. It can be use where requirement quickly changed.

So, in scenario 1 TENZ has asked ABC company to just demonstrate the robotics arms for said purpose as
a proof of concept. And they will provide the complete set of requirement later.

So here we just need to give them prototype of system for first experience and they will share the complete
requirement of robotics arms later after having first experience. So that’s the reason we prototype model is
best suit here because we can’t go through without requirement inother SDLC except Prototype Model

Q 02: identify the most appropriate SDLC model for above scenario 2.
Agile model is most appropriate in Scenario 2.
Agile is used when we want superior quality product, customer satisfaction, batter control, reduce
risk, increase speed and flexibility, and continuous improvement.
According to scenario KHL bank want to facilitate. it’s customer and want to satisfy them. KHL
bank also want to speed up execution of transaction and want to integrate different segment
(consumer, corporate and wealth management services ) for different customer. So, these
facilities are provided in the agile model.
Agile reduce risk and give the facility to integrate different segment and combine them with original
feature to work with them and most of all it’s focus on customer satisfaction that the main need of
KHL bank.
