POEM / ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

Dear Students

Kindly note,

1. As part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), CBSE has announced the
second Expression Series for the session 2021-22 (circular no ACAD-89/2021, dated
30.09.2021). The theme of the Expression Series is ‘People who gave us the 75th year of
India’s Independence’.

2. This Expression Series focuses on freedom fighters from different States and UTs about whom
students must be aware.

3. Students can conduct research about the freedom fighters who were born/worked in the
same town/district where the school is situated or in the neighbouring areas.
4. The students should write/type an essay/ poem on the below given topic and the work
submitted must be an original work of research by the students.

Class 9 - Essay (in about 700 words) or Poem


Topic-
1) The Freedom Fighter from My Town/District or neighbouring area
Or
2) The freedom fighter whom I Know

Interested students can participate in the Essay writing /poem competition. Kindly scan and mail
the essay to your respective English teachers after writing/typing it on the annexure 1. Last date
to submit the Essay/Poem on or before 22nd Oct 2021.
