A. GRASPS
GOAL: Your task is to create a report of your expected sales.
ROLE: Class Representative, Member of the Sales Committee
AUDIENCE: Grade 3 Students, Subject Teachers
SITUATION: Suppose that your family is planning to donate this coming Christmas to
the typhoon victims. You are asked to sell your old toys, clothes, or the
things that you will not use anymore. The money that you will earn will
be donated to them. As a representative of your family, you are tasked to
create a report containing the list of items, price, quantity, and the total
amount of all the things that you plan to sell. This donation aims to show
your math skills in performing basic operations while giving joy to other
children like you. Your report will be explained through a short descriptive
paragraph using the appropriate verbs in sentences. You will also identify if
the items you included on the list belong to the basic needs and explain how
essential they are. The report will be encoded in a Microsoft PowerPoint and
will be presented to your subject teachers for checking.
PRODUCT: Presentation of Expected Sales Report
STANDARD: Your product will be graded by the teachers based on how you identify
and meet the basic needs, the accuracy of computations, completion of
expected sales report, meeting the basic needs and the role in the
environment, your attitude and relevance of the report, and use of the
verbs in sentences, grammar and organization of ideas presented in your
report.
