Borobudur temple is one of the most beautiful tourist resorts in Indonesia. It is
situated in Central Java. Borobudur temple is one of the seven wonders of the world which
needs to be preserved its circumstances. The people all over the world know that Borobudur
is one of the greatest art works that ever known since long time ago.
Borobudur temple was built by Syailendra Dynasty during the eighth century. It
needed more than two million river stones. It is the biggest temple in the world.
After being restored, Borobudur Temple is visited by more and more tourists, both
domestic and foreign. Most of them admire Borobudur temple because of its beauty, its
elegance and the story of the relief on its walls.
Domestic tourists usually go there by bus or private cars, while foreign tourists like to

Levi Strauss, a name that is now famous, was the man who invented jeans. Levi Strauss
was born in Germany in 1829, but went to USA as a young man. At first he lived in New York,
but in 1853 he moved to San Francisco, where he worked with his brother. They worked in a
shop selling clothes to men who were looking for gold in the California Gold Rush. The men
were working very hard in difficult conditions, and they needed very strong trousers.
Strauss was the first man to begin producing special, strong trousers for working men. He
made these trousers from a fabric called „denim‟, a tough fabric that probably came from a town
called Nȋmes in France. Many people now think the English word „denim‟ comes from the
French words „de Nȋmes‟ which means „from Nȋmes‟. Later, Strauss added special metal buttons
to the trousers to make them even better and they immediately became very popular.

The place that I never forget is Covent Garden. It is one of the most popular parts of
London. Tourists and Londoners, adults and kids – they all enjoy the great shops restaurants
and cafes, and, most of all, they love the street performers. At Covent Garden, you can see
some of the best street performers in the world. There are jugglers, clowns, magicians, living
statues, musicians – the list goes on and on!

The peacock replied, “I always thought that I was the most beautiful and happy bird on
the planet. Because of my beauty, I am entrapped in this zoo. I have examined the zoo very

few days, I have been thinking that if I were a crow, I could wander happily everywhere.”

Once upon a time, there was a kingdom in the area of South Sumatra led by a king. The
king had a very beautiful daughter named Siti Fatimah. Besides her beauty, the princess was also
well-known for her kindness and good manners. Many young men fell in love with her.
However, they dared not approach her because the king wanted his daughter to marry a rich man.
One day, a prince from China named Tan Bun An asked the King for his agreement to
marry Siti Fatimah. The King asked for nine jars of gold to Tan Bun An as a condition if he
wanted to marry his daughter. Tan Bun An agreed.
Tan Bun An sent a letter to his parents in China asking for nine jars of gold as the King
had requested. A few months later, the ship from China carrying the bride price arrived. He
opened the cover of a jar, and behold, instead of the gold he expected, it was filled with rotten
vegetables!
Tan Bun An was furious and upset that he threw the jar into the water. He then opened
another jar and found only rotten vegetables then threw them into the water. However, when he
threw the last jar, the jar crashed into the vessel wall. Pieces of gold, hidden underneath the
rotten vegetables, were revealed.
Tan Bun An was aghast. It turned out his parents intentionally put rotten vegetables over
the pieces of gold to hide them from pirates. Realizing his mistake, Tan Bun An quickly jumped
into the water to retrieve the jars.
Apparently Siti Fatimah saw the whole incident. She waited anxiously for Tan Bun An to
come out of the water. However, he did not appear. She finally decided to jump into the
river.Before she jumped, Siti Fatimah told the maids that if she did not come back there would
rise a mound in the middle of the river and that was Tan Bun An and her graves.
The next day, in the middle of the Musi River, a mound appeared, rising higher and
higher. It was named Kemaro Island, which means “the island of drought”, because it was never
drowned by the river even when the water overflowed.

Last week my school arranged a tour to a waterfall. We went to Curug Sewu. On a fine
cool morning. We gathered at the school at six o‟clock. Two buses had ready at school. The
teacher counted the students. We were all ninety. Four teachers accompanied us and two
assistants took charge of the sports things. At half past six, we got into the bus and left for
Curug Sewu.
We were in our happy mood. We sang cheerful songs and clapped, shouting and rejoicing
along the way. At 9 a.m. the teachers served us fried rice and mineral water for breakfast. Two
hours later we arrived at Curug Sewu. We kept our bags and baggages on a lodge booked by the
school for us. After a full meal we got ready for sight-seeing.
At first we visited Kshetra Curug Sewu. There we saw a big temple built where five
rivers originate. We were surprised to see it. There we enjoyed rafting and other watersports. It
was almost evening there. So we hurried up to the sunset point. We saw the whole sunset,
where the sun went down on the western horizon with its brilliant colors spread in the sky. The
view had a deep impression on my mind. When it was dark we returned to our lodge.
The next day was kept for visiting other points and valleys. On the early morning we
enjoyed the sunrise, and other sightseeing points. In the afternoon around four we went to the
market. There, we enjoyed delicious strawberries and raspberries. I bought a cane stock and a
bottle of honey.
Then it‟s the time for us to return home from journey. We were in a very merry mood
returning home. I enjoyed my picnic very much.
