To Whom It May Concern:

Greetings!

The University of the Philippines Geological Society (UP GeoSoc) is

a university-recognized academic organization based in the
National Institute of Geological Sciences (NIGS) dedicated to the
pursuit of honor and excellence in the field of geology. The
organization takes pride in its alumni who became forerunners in the
different subfields of geology, including the industry, geothermal,
mineral and oil exploration, and in the academe.

In our 64th year, we strive to maintain BALANCE as we aim to

provide a conduit between the academe and the actual practice
as well as to help in bringing forth the geosciences to the people. To
celebrate our anniversary, we have prepared activities such as
Career Talk, Donation Drive, and High School Students’ Webinar
throughout the first half of the academic year.

In this regard, we are humbly inviting your school to participate in

one of our events, Destroy to Create: A High School Webinar on
Plate Tectonics and the Origin of the Philippines. It will be
conducted via Zoom, an online video conferencing application, and
Facebook Livestream on October 26, 2021, from 1 to 4 PM. This will
give you a glimpse of our annual National Geology Congress (NGC)
which also caters to high school students to be held early next year.

Attached herewith are the specific details of the event.

Should there be any concerns about the event, or if you wish to set
an appointment, please feel free to contact us through this email
([email protected]) or mobile (+639452375203,
+639156635384, or +639438133892).

Sincerely yours,

Justine Ashley B. Mendoza

practice as well as to help in bringing forth the geosciences to the
people.

Watch out for our anniversary initiatives throughout the first half of the
upcoming academic year. Join us as we embark on a journey to
extend assistance for those in need of academic support, to cater to
the curiosity of high school students, and to calm the restlessness of
geology students on what the future waits for them.

Dare to bring balance with us.
