Activity 3: My Prayer for the people that I care

Instruction: Compose a free-verse prayer for the people you care.

Our Father in Heaven, We thank you, most gracious and heavenly loving father, for this
magnificent gift of our love, which You have freely given us and which allows us to construct a
true communion of individuals between us as long as we remain open to You, the Source of all
love. As we grow to know each other better, please help us to continue to love and accept one
other unconditionally. To our union and love, make us generous in giving and modest in
receiving. Bless my family and loved ones Lord and give them strength to do good things, to do
their work for every day. Give them knowledge and wisdom to do good-decision making in their
daily living. Protect them Lord Jesus and lead them to you. This I pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Activity 4: Journal Writing

1. Who are your neighbors? How do you become neighbors to them?

My neighbors are my father’s brother and his family. I become a neighbor to them since the
place or the land where we live is also their land. For instance, we all have the share in this
land.

2. How do you reach out to the “Strangers on the road” at home or within your
community?

I reach them out with a kind manner because I never know how they will interpret my attitude in
approaching them. I also avoid mistakes so that I will not be misunderstood.

3. What is global indifference? How it is being experienced by you? How do you become
part of it?

This concept describes what can happen when our choices as consumers and nations have an
impact on those who are so far removed from us that we never experience their misery. I
experienced it by the way that I do not believe the beliefs of other culture or I must say, I have a
lack of interest. I became a part of it maybe because I am a person.

4. What are your personal dark clouds? How did it weaken your relationship with others?

My personal dark clouds is that I share secrets to a friend where in I believe he will keep it just
to himself but then I was betrayed. It weaken my relationship with others by having a trust
issues and feared to share more.

5. What personal advocacy will you start after this recollection to “build the culture of
care?”

I will spread good influence as a student, like giving respect to the older and justice. Spreading
good influence and be a model to spread care in my surroundings so that they will also share
good things or influence to others.
Closing Prayer:

+In the name of the Father; and of the Son; and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Dear God, thank you for the lesson today. It’s great to find out new things with
wisdom and knowledge. Help us remember all we have discussed today in our
recollection. We thank You, O God, for all the benefits of graces we have received
through Your loving care and mercy. May You help us to be more confident in
searching and seeking Your presence. This we pray through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Your Son, who lives and reigns with in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and
ever. Amen.
