Activity 11: Reflect on and address the following:
1. Identify different social issues, needs, and demands that should be considered in the
curriculum.
➢ Curriculum should be depend to the learning of society
➢ The assigned teacher need to evaluate the learnings that they will implement.
➢ The curriculum should adapt of every students and apply what they are learned
from the curriculum that already implemented.
2. Discuss how these social issues, needs, and demands may influence the curriculum
in terms of:
- Aims, goals, and objectives
- Content
- Learning experience
- Evaluation
Activity 12: Reflect and address the following:
1. Identify learner’s needs and issues that should be considered in curriculum development.
➢ Social Issues - There are various social issues in the present existence that India is
confronting. These include, population explosion, unemployment, diversity and
communal tension. Teachers can defend the students against these social problems, if
they are sensitive towards these issues. It is vital to make the students aware against
these social problems and how to implement remedies to eliminate them. Poverty,
illiteracy, unemployment and homelessness are the major social problems that have
influenced the lives of the individuals in a negative manner. As a result of illiteracy and
unawareness, there have been prevalence of the practices of female foeticide, female
infanticide, child labour, and child marriage. It is vital to eliminate these practices, treat
both males and females equally and efficiently contribute towards the growth and
progress of the system of education
2. Discuss how learners’ needs, learning and thinking styles, and issues are considered in
the curriculum specifically in the following curriculum elements.
-aims, goals, and objectives
-contents
-learning experiences

ACTIVITY 13: Reflect on and address the following:
1. Examine the K-12 Basic Education Curriculum. Identify the different learning areas,
subjects, and courses included in the curriculum.
➢ The Learning Areas The learning areas of the K to 12 curriculum intersect the grade
levels from Grade 1 to Grade 12. The learning areas are: • Languages: Mother Tongue,
Filipino, and English • Arts and Humanities: Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health
(MAPEH), Edukasyon sa Pagpapahalaga, Araling Panlipunan • Science and
Mathematics • Technology and Livelihood Education.
2. Identify different skills, processes, values, and concepts that are important to learn in
each subject.
Skills: Mastery of the subject matter
Processes: Review the syllabi, get the “book” and/or other course material, meet with your
instructor outside of the classroom to introduce onself and to receive additional clarification on
confusing matters, produce in the classroom and through homwork.
Values: Aim to receive the highest grade in each class, noting that you may receive second-best
if your understanding and mastery of the subject is more challenging in comparison to other
courses.
Concepts: The straight-forward goal is to always do your best, enjoy your entire university or
college experience, mix and mingle as appropriate to achieve your desired academic goals that
will relate to your career
3. Identify suggested industry skills and habits of mind that should be included to enhance
the curriculum.
Persisting.
Managing Impulsivity.
Listening to Others with Understanding and Empathy.
Thinking Flexibly.
Thinking About Our Thinking (Metacognition) .

1.What are your school’s vision, mission, and core values?
Mission:
As a student we must empowers each one of us through a well-rounded experience and inspires a
love of lifelong learning.
Vision:
As a student, must be confident and engaged learners who lead through collaboration and
compassion.
Core Values:
Curiosity, Character, Community, Respect, Citizenship, Innovation, Excellence
2.Discuss in your own understanding of your school’s vision, mission, and core values.
➢ I believe that as a student I must inspire peers to love their learning while promoting our
social growth, emotional growth, intellectual development and creativity.
3.How are your school’s mission, vision, and core values reflected in your lessons and
school activities?
➢ The vision needs to capture the aims of a school in its particular context, and guide and
inform the preparation of a school development plan. Vision and mission statements are
often reliable representations of what schools stand for, helping keep the values of the
school central to how it operates. ... Vision and mission statements can help keep the
school on track with its greater purpose by helping school leaders navigate competing
interests.
4.How relevant are your school’s vision, mission, and core values to the needs of the
learners and demands of the society?
