Dictionary Definitions
To define a predicate fully, you need three elements:
1. Category that the predicate belongs to: Its extension is a subset in that category.
2. Distinctive semantic properties: The defining characteristics, the necessary conditions. The
total set of conditions is sufficient conditions that need to be met for an element to
belong to the extension of the predicate.
3. Function of the predicate (if it has one): What it is used for
