Introduction
The purpose of this work is to develop the point of view of each person with respect to the
environment, progressivism and how all this is present in companies, how it affects or impacts
the environment and how it must be balanced to have good progress in each specifically
developed area.
Environmentalism
Environmentalism is a social movement that deals with the concern, conservation and
improvement of environmental health, seeks different influences to protect the quality of the
environment of humans that day by day what they do is pollute. It is an attempt to balance the
relationships between humans and the various natural systems on which they depend in such a
way that all components have an adequate degree of sustainability.
Is keeping in mind your natural environment and conducting your life in a fashion that
does not cause harm to it. It's not very difficult.
"We need to remember that the environmental movement is us, and that our task is to
protect the environment". (Dan Becker, Director of Global Warming at the Sierra Club)
Characteristics:
Environmentalism focuses more on the environmental and nature-related aspects of green
ideology and politics.
Tries to advocate for the preservation, restoration and improvement of the natural
environment.
May be called a movement to control pollution or protect plant and animal diversity.
Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages:
Improvement of air quality.
Trees are called the lungs of the earth.
Climate change.
Improvement of water quality.
Biodiversity and Protection of Habitat.
Challenges.
Disadvantage:
Global warming.
Huge consumption of technology platforms.
Implement costs for the welfare of the environment.
Environmental impact in the business industry
Today there are different types of industrial companies around the world. The impact that
each company has on the environment is harmful, both for nature and for its inhabitants,
mainly damaging the air, water and soil, as well as flora, fauna and the community in general.
Companies must worry about the environment because the rules and laws of each country
require it. Companies are known to emit polluting gases into the atmosphere, contaminating
the water with the waste they generate every day, however there are several ways to avoid this
type of contamination.
In most industries there is a very high consumption of water and energy, therefore you
have to take care of the environment and not generate as much consumption, for example; at
the end of the work turn off the lights and many simple things that each person must keep in
mind.
In the case of saving water, staff must be informed so that they are responsible for its use.
Corporate environmentalism.
Are the efforts that are made at the business level to reduce pollution and the use of tools
together with the protection of natural habitats. They commit to carry out these actions, but
beyond the law, all this is done to regulate or reduce contamination towards humans and their
communities. It also refers to the companies themselves that adopt policies that inform them
about the environmental impact.
Environmental companies
They are those that were created in order to save and protect the interests of the
environment, it cares about complying with the rules that are established in favor of it, and
why other companies like it follow the same.
Why are they called environmental companies?
They are so called because the focus of each of these companies is towards the
environment. It cares about well-being where every human being lives and develops.
It has the vision that in the future the environment has good conditions and a mission that
would be to guarantee that everything happens.
Progressivism
It is a political movement that helps to reform any country, it is based on the idea of
progressing in science, technology, etc. That are important for the development of every
human being.
Characteristics
It makes each human being grow as a person, be interested in their education and in
being someone in life.
It tries to make each country independent in all aspects.
Different organizations are created in order to progress.
Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages:
It allows people to expose themselves to real-world situations.
Progressivism in education today helps students master a couple of important skills
necessary once they pursue their careers.
Progressivism in today's education will also foster a passion for learning new things.
Disadvantages:
Progressivism in the field of advanced technology can displace the working mass of a
company.
In the progress of a country it can generate conflicts among others.
Business Progressivism
They are those companies that emerge with a vision for the future in order to innovate their
product every day and thus take it to the national and international market, respecting the
standards that are established in the world trade organization.
Progressivism and the Environment
Progressivism is expanding every day and, in a way, it is gradually affecting the
environment. Both should go hand in hand but unfortunately not all the time is like this,
because no matter how much the environment is defended it always ends up affected.
In order to expand, companies sacrifice the environment when their products are not
manufactured correctly, although this is punishable by law.
The environment has to be taken care of, even if progressivism advances and gives rise to
the country, company or person, the environment must always be taken into account because
that makes us better people.
Types of strategies
Educational workshops that create awareness.
Streamline and sense of belonging.
Advertising posters.
Note: All in order to raise awareness among company employees.
Importance of maintaining the balance between environmentalism and
progressivism
It is important because if the balance, the ecosystem, the fauna, etc. are not maintained.
they will be affected, for example: in the technological field; A country that is advancing
militarily needs a field to test its ammunition, in the field of business; When the product does
not meet all the requirements or when its residues remain, they are disposed of in the
environment. Progressivism advances and companies with them also, they do not care about
damaging the environment, to obtain results. It is important to maintain balance because when
the environment is damaged by it, humans also. If this is not balanced, then the consequences
are great and it would not only affect the environment but also their environment and, in some
way, also human beings, if that happens it would also affect their nation.
Conclusion
At the end of this work, it can be seen that the environment in one way or another is always
affected, even if it is punished, by more norms and laws that may exist in favor of the
environment, there will always be a company that does not take them finished. We must
always bear in mind that every human being is part of the environment, although
progressivism is a good opportunity for us, that does not mean that we discard or neglect the
care of the environment.
It can be seen in development that companies impact the environment, but we must also
know how to balance everything, so that the consequences that come afterwards are not
greater. We are all part of everything, of how progressivism progresses and how the
environment is affected.
