Once you’ve decided to pursue your CPP certification, you must submit your certification application
online. When your application has been reviewed and approved, you will receive an Authorization to
Test email with instructions on how to schedule your exam. Please allow approximately two to three
weeks for your application to be reviewed.

ASIS exams are offered year-round at Prometric test centers or on your own computer using
Prometric’s ProProctor remote proctoring tool. Your “Approval to Test” Letter from ASIS will explain
how to schedule your exam online (preferred) or by phone.

• Scheduling: Choose your preferred testing method (in person or remote proctoring), location, and date.
• Arrival and Check-in: Arrive early to check in and prepare your testing environment. Both in-person Prometric
sites and remotely proctored exams require two forms of identification, including one government-issued photo ID.
Secondary ID may be a credit card or ATM card. Both must have your signature.
• Cancellations and “No Shows”:
• 31+ Days Prior to Test—No charge for rescheduling or cancellations
• 4–30 Days Prior to Test—$62.50 per reschedule
• Less Than 4 Days—Testing fee will be forfeited, and you will need to schedule a new exam with a $225
retake fee. If your two-year eligibility period expires, you must reapply for the exam.
• Scores: Your preliminary score will be sent via email after the exam, usually within 15 minutes of completion (up to
five hours). Your official exam results will be mailed in approximately three to four weeks.
