iDirect Velocity®
iDirect Velocity® is an IP-based satellite communications system
speci cally designed for HTS operators deploying managed services,
who require massive scale and advanced mobility. HTS operators are
able to quickly address market requirements for xed and mobile
applications with maximum exibility and lowest risk. Today, Velocity
is the de facto standard for leading satellite operators serving over
400 beams of HTS coverage worldwide.

Velocity Release Details
The latest Velocity Release 2.0 and Pulse 2.6 bring together scalability
and exibility. Supporting a wide range of remotes from X-Series to, iQ
Series and 9 series for a broad range of market applications this release
also enables Layer 2 over Satellite (L2oS) on iQ series for Ethernet-like
services.
For advanced mobility networks, multicast overlay on the CX780, faster
DVB-S2 beam selection, and beam load balancing allow for ef cient
handling of traf c and beam switching.
