GENERAL NOTES
A. IN THE INTERPRETATION OF THIS DRAWINGS, INDICATED DIMENSION
SHALL GOVERN AND DISTANCES OR SIZES SHALL NOT BE SCALED FOR
CONSTRUCTED PURPOSES.
B. REINFORCING BARS SHALL BE DEFORMED (CONFORMING TO ASTM A-615)
AND GRADED AS FOLLOWS:
STRENGTH REINFORCEMENT
Fy = 414 MPa (60 ksi) 16Ø to 36Ø BARS
Fy = 274 MPa (30 ksi) 10Ø to 12Ø BARS
Fy = 274 MPa (30 ksi) SMALLER THAN 10Ø

C. ALL CONCRETE WORKS SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ACI-


318-08 BUILDING CODE FOR REINFORCED CONCRETE AND ALL
STRUCTURAL STEEL WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASEP HANDBOOK OF
STRUCTURAL STEEL SHAPES AND SECTION AND AISC SPECIFICATION –
LATEST EDITION SO FAR AS THEY DO NOT CONFLICT WITH THE LOCAL
BUILDING CODE REQUIREMENTS.
NOTES ON CONCRETE MIXES AND PLACING
COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF CONCRETE SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS:
1. PEDESTAL 28.00 MPa (4000 PSI)
2. FOUNDATION/FOOTINGS 28.00 MPa (4000 PSI)
3. LEAN CONCRETE 14.00 MPa (2000 PSI)

NOTES ON STRUCTURAL STEEL


A. ALL STRUCTURAL STEEL MEMBERS SHALL CONFORM TO ASTM
SPECIFICATION FOR A-36 STEEL.
B. ALL WELDED AND BOLTED CONNECTIONS MUST DEVELOP THE FULL
STRENGTH OF THE MEMBERS. USE A307 BOLTS AND E70XX ELECTRODES
FOR WELDING.
C. FABRICATION AND WELDING SHALL BE GOVERNED BY APPLICABLE
PROVISIONS OF THE LATEST AISC AND AWS STANDARDS.
D. ALL STRUCTURAL STEEL WORKS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
NATIONAL STRUCTURAL CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES 2015. UNLESS
OTHERWISE DETAILED IN THE PLANS, ALL STEEL SHAPES AND SECTION
SHALL CONFORM TO ASEP HANDBOOK OF STRUCTURAL STELL SHAPES
AND SECTION.
E. ALL EXPOSED STRUCTURAL STEEL MEMBERS SHALL RECEIVE AT LEAST
TWO (2) COATS OF RED LEAD OR ZINC CHROMATE PRIMER PAINT.
F. ORDINARY STRUCTURAL BOLTS SHALL CONFORM TO ANSI B1.1 (1982)
AND ANSI B18.2.2(1983) OR ISO 262.
G. FABRICATION AND ERECTION TOLERANCE SHALL CONFORM TO THE
AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF STEEL CONSTRUCTION (AISC).
