Additional Activities
Activity 2: Dear Artist

Dear, Magdalena Gamayo.

I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your invaluable contribution to

Filipino arts and culture. As a student and Filipino, your works in the Abel-
Weaving tradition have inspired me to preserve our culture. Despite
technological advancements, you were able to preserve and teach the
traditional weaving techniques of binakol, inuritan (geometric design), kusikos
(spiral forms similar to oranges), and sinan-sabong (flowers). You truly
deserve the GAMABA award and to be known to future generations.
