How important is NSTP in your life?

The National Service Training Program or NSTP is a program established to


promote patriotism among the Filipino Youth. This program is aimed at
enhancing the civic consciousness and preparedness program to the youth
by developing the ethics of service and patriotism while undergoing training
in any of its three program components. The Reserve Officers Training
Corps (ROTC), Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS), and the Literacy
Training Service (LTS).

NSTP promotes the role of the youth in nation-building. As such, it aims to


encourage the youth to become civic and/or military leaders and volunteers
who could be called upon by the nation in cases their services are needed.
Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) helps students like me to be aware
of our importance to society, maximize our capabilities so we can use them
in our lives; for the government to act if we can do it ourselves. It is
important as a student because its main objective is to train and teach us to
acquire various principles that will be helpful in the development of our life
and the community. This program is so beneficial for it is one way for the
students to learn and train to become well-disciplined and effective. By
studying NSTP, students train to influenced the self-improvement,
performance, community involvement, and demonstration of abilities and
skills of the students to an extent.

It does not only help me to develop myself for the betterment of life but it
also teaches me to help society in small ways. It increases my awareness
of what is happening and prepares me for whatever I may face as I go
outside the walls of the school so that if the time comes I know what should
I do and I am already responsible enough in making my own decisions. By
this, it helps me to explore other things and develop my interest and
potential. It provides direction for future career goals. It able one to make
new friends and meet unique, interesting people. And value and appreciate
the things that we have and it helps me to understand the situation of the
people who need my support and service for them to have a good life.

In conclusion, National Service Training Program simply as NSTP, aims to


promote and integrate values education, transformational leadership, the
spirit of patriotism and nationalism, and sustainable social mobilization for
youth development, community building, and national security.
