AREA OF CONCERN Celebrating Christmas Party
I. RATIONALE:
Christmas commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ. A Christmas party is a celebration of joy
and togetherness. It is a time to socialize, show one’s affection and closeness to one another. Typically,
gifts are exchanged at a Christmas party. A sumptuous meal, possibly music and dancing, laughter and
goodwill — a special event where love flows & harmony prevails.
Christmas can provide an enjoyable distraction from the study stress that the entire school year
brings. The students are ecstatic and overjoyed. The positive energy of happiness and celebration
pervades the school environment. Even the teachers are looking forward to the much-anticipated break
from the year-long teaching-learning cycle. Even if it is only for a short time.
Students of various faiths take part in the decoration and especially in the celebration. They
investigate the differences while maintaining the bond of love, warmth, cheer, and selflessness that
holds manhood together. The true meaning of Christmas is that God is always with you, no matter
what. Christmas can be a source of comfort for all those who, for various reasons, may be in need of
strength and encouragement. Because the true meaning of Christmas is that God is with us.
To summarize, Christmas should be celebrated in schools and colleges across our country, with
students of all faiths and castes participating.
