Introduction to Cyberpreneurship course aims to expose students with basic


COURSE entrepreneurship skills such as identifying business opportunities, preparing

conducting practical business venture. This course provides a platform for
students to understand the operations, marketing activities and financial
management in venturing a business.

COURSE This course is important to expose the students with both basic theoretical and

At the completion of the subject, students should be able to perform the

LO1: Apply the concepts of entrepreneurship in the context of
cyberpreneurship.
LO2: Prepare a business plan through application of knowledge in various
fields of business such as marketing, financing, management, information
technology etc.

business idea.

Assignment Submission

PROJECT Project Requirements


(70%) a. Students are required to do an individual based project.
b. Each student is required to develop a business plan for online
entrepreneurial activity.

Business Plan (Report) (50%)


The business plan must cover five broad areas:
i. Executive summary (1 page)
 Overall business idea
ii. Business analysis
 SWOT analysis
iii. A marketing plan
 Marketing strategy (4Ps)
iv. An operational plan
 Management team / Manpower plan / Process plan
v. A financial plan
 Financial strategy
 Financial projection

The business plan above must not exceed 15 pages (font size 12, Times New
Roman, 1.5 spacing). Marks will be deducted for exceeding the page limit.

Business Plan (Presentation) (20%)


i. Each student has 20-30 minutes to present the business plan.
ii. There is no specific format for the presentation. Each student should
decide on the most creative and impactful presentation strategy to
attract audients. The allocation of marks for the presentation is as
below:

ASSIGNMENT Successful Entrepreneur in Malaysia (30%)

Students are required to write a report (must not exceed 15 pages, font size
12, Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing) on a chosen successful entrepreneur in
Malaysia. This assignment is to expose the students on discovering how to be
a successful entrepreneur. The assessment for this assignment is as per
following:

PROJECT AND Project and Assignment


ASSIGNMENT Each student must submit a complete Project File for evaluation. The
SUBMISSION Project File must include the following:
i. A cover page - must include course title, course code, business name,
student name, student ID, email and phone number
ii. Project: Business plan

iv. Appendices / supporting documents (if any)
v. Presentation materials (slides)

 The assignment submission is supposed to be in only one PDF.


 Please convert all the documents into PDF and merge the project,
assignment and presentation slides into one file.
 Please submit through google classroom.

RULES AND Policy on Plagiarism


REGULATIONS  Students are expected to be honest in completing all assignments that are
given in this course. Those students who are being caught for plagiarizing
in any assignments will receive zero mark. Students aiding their classmate
to plagiarize will also be given zero mark.
 Plagiarizing from another student’s work or assignment is also considered
cheating. If students are being caught, both parties will receive 0% for the
entire assignment.
 Students are required to follow APA citation styles for any references
taken to support the assignment.

Late Submission Policy for Assignments


 Late submission will be subjected to penalty of mark deductions.
 The project, assignment and presentation slide should be submitted by
week 7 in 1 PDF document.

Class Attendance / Participation


 Class attendance is expected. Students can only benefit from the subject
matter by taking an active participation in class discussions. Attendance
will be taken in each class.
