Topic: Reading and its importance
Introduction
Reading is a communication habit that allows the development of cognitive and
interactive thoughts of the person who reads and allows the easy construction of new
knowledge. Currently, electronic media involve children and adolescents in any activity
except reading, which is important to improve their learning and maintain communication
with anyone.
Developing
It is important for children and adolescents to read a book at least once a month since this
activity allows them to easily stimulate their imagination and brain function, it also helps
adolescents to obtain a better vocabulary, develop their brain to be able to better
understand the multi-line plots and characters.
Young people have to feel attracted to a book so that they take their time to read and
realize that reading is a quiet activity that can calm their stress and anxiety, because today
it is said that children and young people suffer from these illnesses.
The lack of interest in reading in young people sometimes has to do with the environment
in which they live, because they do not know the value of letters in a book and that this
set of letters, phrases and concepts can help them improve the activities they do on a daily
basis.
Conclution
No one can forbid us to read, just as they cannot forbid us to think or imagine. We are
free to do it at the moment we create and to read what we want. Reading keeps us alive
and connected. It makes us feel part of something. And there are many reasons why
reading is more than important for our lives. Reading makes us free and we can feel its
benefits in many ways.
