ISOCELL JN1 (LENS)

The world's smallest image sensor with 50 megapixels. It was first introduced by tech
powerhouse Samsung, which boasts some of the most advanced pixel technology and leads the industry
in pixel size. The enhanced ISOCELL 2.0 in the Samsung ISOCELL JN1 improves light sensitivity by 16%. In
low light conditions, the sensor also supports Samsung's Tetrapixel technology, which merges four
adjacent 0.64m pixels into one 1.28m pixel. This increases light sensitivity by fourfold, resulting in
brighter images at 12.5MP. Because of its small size, it can be used as the primary camera on slimmer
devices, as the selfie camera, or even as a telephoto or ultra-wide lens, and Samsung calls it "the most
versatile image sensor" yet. With a 1/2.76-inch optical format and a Z-axis height reduction of about
10% (presumably compared to high-resolution sensors with relatively larger pixels), the Isocell JN1 takes
up less space in storage. Furthermore, with a standard 1/2.8-inch slot, OEMs can easily integrate it into
existing designs.

It has excellent low-light performance and can capture every detail in the dark. It also has Smart
ISO technology, which adjusts the conversion gain based on the amount of light available. For example,
in bright conditions, it uses a Low ISO mode to capture more detail, while in low light settings, it
switches to a High ISO mode to reduce readout noise. Smart ISO also provides interscene HDR in mixed-
light conditions by combining two separate Low and High ISO readouts into the final image. In terms of
video, the ISOCELL JN1 can record 4K video at 60 frames per second or FHD video at 240 frames per
second.

Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

OCR allows you to extract printed or handwritten text from images such as photos of
street signs and products, as well as documents such as invoices, bills, financial reports, articles,
and more. OCR is a technology that analyzes a page's text and converts the letters into code that
can be used to process data. OCR is a technique for detecting printed or handwritten text
characters within digital images of paper files, such as those created by scanning paper records
(optical character recognition). OCR systems are hardware and software systems that convert
physical documents into text that can be read by machines.

These digital versions can be highly beneficial to children and young adults who struggle
to read. And that's why the digital text may be utilized with several software packages that help
with readability. Text is copied or read using technology such as an optical scanner or dedicated
circuit board, while the software handles further analysis. The essential application of OCR is to
convert hard copy legal or historical documents into PDFs. Users may modify, style, and analyze
the paper as if generated with a word processor after it is saved in pdf format.
