1. The article states that "Filipino Time" is not cultural. Therefore, it
would not be involuntarily shared in one community.
Counterclaim:
No, Filipino time is cultural. therefore, it is spontaneously shared with all of community.
Filipino time is cultural, it means Filipinos seldom come to occasions on time. In most
cases than not, we Pinoys are always late and could hardly make appointments or
attend on time. The "Filipino Time" means the state of being late for a minute up to
hours compared to the standard time. In line with Filipinos, starting things late have
been part of our culture, it seems that many either practice it or just accept it, hence the
term "Filipino Time" showing how our culture values time. According to Fr. Miguel
Bernad, who wrote an essay about Filipino Time in his book “Budhi: A Journal of Ideas
and Culture”, the phrase Filipino Time was coined by Americans in the 1900's because
they were irritated by the lack of punctuality of Filipinos.
2. Situation: In posting things on social media, you must think before you
click.
Assertion:
You must think before you click, think about how truthful the information you are about
to share, make sure you double check it, realize that if you share mindlessly. Do some
research before click or hitting Enter button. being an open minded of what are you
doing and you must need to think before you click. If you know you hurt someone about
your post don’t post it. especially now, we must be responsible for what we post on
social media. we know that people are super sensitive now about this. it’s important to
think before you click , it is important to not practice being so impulsive, especially on
making an entertainment or random post on social media and to avoid misleading
information that will cause trouble between you and the reader. It is a way of reminding
us that in everything we do, we are accountable of it!.
