SECTION 1

COMPONEN FUNCTION
Front of a violin and it is made of spruce wood and the back made from maple wood.

2. Make sure the clutter space is free during performance or practice

1. Open our case and make sure there is nothing in it
2. Remove shoulder rest and place it in case
3. Losen bow strings and cecure bow in case
4. Wipe down instruments with soft cloth
5. Carefully clean the strings

SECTION 3
Based on the checklist provided, describe and discuss the maintenance process of a stringed musical
instrument from beginning to end using the items found in the checklist.

-After playing, make sure to put your instrument back on the case to prevent
any damage to your instruments. Wipe down your instrument after every
use. Use soft or dry cloth to wipe string off after playng your instruments.
Wipe the body underneath the strings as well to protext it from
accumulation. Looen your bow after playing instruments to increase
durability. From the checklist provided, stringed player have to look at
every detaild aspects within their own instruments. For an example, , if the
strings are wounded or frayed it must be replaced with new one. The
fingerboard must be cleaned all the time and make sure every parts is in it’s
place such as sound post. As for the bow, it must be installed properly and
not too tight or too loose.
SECTION 4

Dirty and rusty strings instrument strings.

- Maintenance: Use a soft or dry cloth to wipe the strings off after playing your
instrument.Wipe the body underneath the strings as well to protect it from rosin
accumulation

Broken strings

- Maintenence : Remove Your Broken String Attach Your New String To The Tail

Fallen Bridge

- Maintenance:Identify two sides of your violin, after that loose the strings gently
starting with the G-string and the E-string,then the D-string and the A-string,in step 3
we should remove the bridge gently from the violin.After that we mark the new
bridge use a pencil or other marking tool.In step 5 we place the new bridge between
the center of the F-holes, put the strings on your new bridge.Finally, make any last
adjustments to the bridge.Ensure that is nearly pendicular to the violin body.Also
make sure that the feet ofthe bridge sit flat on the body of your violin

Pegs that are loose or too tight.

- Maintenance:Pull the peg partially out, and rub birthday candle wax on the peg to
help it stick.

Dropped Sound Post

- Maintenance:Loosen all of the strings to take the tension off of the instrument.Bring
the instrument to a trusted repair shop where a lutier or qualified repair person can set
the post back up.In some cases, a new soundpost may have to be cut.
