1. ACTIVITY
Let’s have another activity, I will group
you into two. Group 1 will be the
students in my right side and the group
2 will be the students in my left side. I
have here two sets of words that we
used on our previous activity, here is
for the group 1 (Learner, Teacher,
Technology) and here is for group 2(
New Generation, Social Learner,
Media). Now, all you need to do is to
construct a sentence including those
words. A group that can construct a
sentence with strong connection with
each word will get two points. That two
points will be added in you quiz later. I
will give you 1 minute to do that.
Example for group 1, The teacher
gives information to the learner using
textbooks and for group 2, social
learner is the user of media in new
generation. If you use these examples
your work will be invalid. Choose one
representative to explain your group

Generation is a length of time between my
birth and the birth of the one who oldest to me.

the differences between old generation

Ma’am old generation is a generation where in
the other technology like computers is not
common or familiar while the new generation
is consisting of different technologies.

the persons are usually used the traditional
tools and things unlike t the new generation
where in the hardest things makes easy because
of the different technologies.

natives and the digital immigrants?
Ma’am the digital natives are people who born
with technologies while the digital
immigrants are people who knows how to use
the technologies but they can’t use it in their
work.
Which one is for old generation and
which one for the new?
The digital natives are for new generation
because they are the one who belong in the
new world and born with technologies around
them and the digital immigrants are for old
generation because, example the old teachers
today they learn how to study more about
technologies to meet the learners need

versus visuals and what can you say
about this?
Ma’am the texts are the old resources like the
books in the library while the visuals are tne
new resources which invole different
technology as sources of information.

versus hyper media. What do you think
is the differences between the two?
Linear is for old generation which they follow
some process to accomplish the task while the
hyper media is for new generation in which
they quickly get the information they want by
just type it and after a few minutes they get the
answer.

learners or social learners and why?
Ma’am I am independent learners because I
learned by myself and study in my own.

use of internet.
Independent learners, even though they
go to school and listen to their teachers
but they learned better by their own.

teaching, more learning and when we
say social learners they are depending
on digital tools or the emergent

Ma’am avoiders are the one who use a
cellphone but they not aware on what is trend.

versus learning to pass the test. What
does it mean?
Ma’am learning to do is for new generation
because the teacher teach how to apply the
lesson in their daily life to easily remember
while the larning to pass the test is for old
generation because the teacher give the
necessary information that the students needs
or the learner only studied the information in
the books or notebooks.

Ma’am delayed reward are for old generation
because because the students wait for a long
time to get the reward of their achievements
like grades or diploma while the instant

memorization while the fun learning is the

collect an information in the books and it is
teachers centered approach while the new
generatio means the students collect
information through the use of different
technologies and it is all about the learners

many option to find the answer we want to

because not all people can afford to buy or rent
the new technologies so we still use the old
resources.

Let us have our last activity, I’ve
already group you, right? Listen very
carefully. Using this paper you are
going to create a symbol for old and
new generation. It is either for teachers,
or learners of technology. The old
generation is for the group 1 and the
new generation is for group 2. It is your
decision if you are going to cut the
paper or you are going to draw. I will
give you 2 minutes to do your task.
After 2 minutes, you need to pick one
representative of the group to explain
the output. Is that clear class?
