SCHOOL-BASED FEEDING PROGRAM

School-based feeding program (SBFP) is mandated by the Republic Act 11037


also known as an Act Institutionalizing a National Feeding Program for Undernourished
Children in Public Day Care of 2018. The program's goal is to provide nutritious food
products and pasteurized or sterilized milk to 3.1 million kids in more than 34,000
public schools nationwide.

Palalan Integrated School (PIS) actively participated for this school year.
Parents went to the PIS campus to get their respective shares of packs of nutri-foods,
packs of bread, and bottles of milk for their children. The feeding program of PIS
provided a healthy, fresh, and nutritious meal for each pupil. It aimed for the reduction
of the wasted and severely wasted pupils. The said program is partnered by the gulayan
sa paaralan. Parents also actively participated on the said program. With this, it
enhanced not just the weight of the children but also developed school-community
bonding as well as the learning performance of their children in school.
