HIGHLIGHTS
I. IMPLEMENTED ACTIVITIES ON INTERVENTION CONDUCTED
In this activity, the teacher implemented the Reading Enhancement Program to
address the reading difficulties from the Phil-IRI silent test. It was found out
that 4 out of 6 pupils in Grade VI and 3 out of 4 pupils in Grade V failed to
reach the independent level.
The Reading intervention then implemented to those identified pupils who had
reading difficulties based on the Phil-IRI pretest. Reading materials aligned to
their reading level were reproduced. The materials were then distributed and
brought home by the pupils to be read at home with their parents.
II. RESULTS:
The implementation proper was on April 21 to May 31, 2022. Printed
Reading materials were distributed to 7 learners . Parents guided their children
in reading the given materials. Teacher did home visitation to monitor the
progress of the learners. It was also agreed that selected learners will come to
school with the agreed schedule time.
Over all, the MIB “Manbesaak Ishin Boloy” project was implemented smoothly.
Teachers planned to continue the project.
III. MONITORING AND EVALUATION
Checked through phone conference if the revised and modalities activities were
effective towards improvement of the learner’s performance as shown in their
output.
Observed learner’s enhancements with their learning after the implementation
of the program.
IV. RECOMMENDATION
The proponent proposed to continue this project and hope to advocates
continuity of learning through reading amid covid-19 pandemic. It is suggested
that teachers, in collaboration with parents/guardians, find strategies to bridge
the gap by giving a large number of reading materials to pupils. Teachers
should figure out how to get parents more involved in school.
