I Manraj Singh, Indian passport holder S5983082 furnishing my statement of purpose for student
visa application Canada. My academic and professional backgrounds along with the reasons for
selecting the course and future plans post completion of my studies are detailed in the document.

Academic Background:

I have completed my secondary education in 2018 from Shivalik Public School, Mohali and higher
senior Secondary education in 2020 with 80% in Humanities stream from Lawrence Public Senior
Secondary School, Mohali (Punjab).

During my studies, I used to visit my paternal uncle who is an Advocate and president of Bar
Association. I got inspired by his way of working owing to which I started working as a Clerk with
Hardeep Singh Bassi in cabin number 98, district court complex, Rupnagar.

I have done IELTS in 2021 with an overall band score of 7.0. I scored 6.5 in listening, 7.5 in reading,
7.0 writing, and 6.5 in speaking module.

Why this course?

The ills that plague the world and its injustices have bothered me since I was a child. I have always
wanted to make a difference in the world by helping people , get justice for the wrongs they didn't
commit or to help them deal with the challenges that come with life more easily. I have a strong
belief and faith in the rules and laws of society and I believe that it is the foundation of society.

I have volunteered at various NGOs especially the ones that provide basic necessities for refugees
and unsheltered immigrants and this conscious effort has increased my knowledge of diversity,
poverty, injustice, and most of all compassion. All these encounters and experiences have served as a
catalyst that inspired me to pursue experiences in this aspect outside the shores of my country

The two-year Office Administration - Legal program will provide me with a specialization in legal
administrative procedures and processes to meet the needs of an increasingly global and
technologically advancing legal industry. In the first year, I will build strong technological,
administrative, and communication skills. Also i would be introduced to office procedures specific to
the legal environment. This course will help me to begin the legal studies with an introduction to
civil litigation and legal accounting. In the second year, I will continue to apply substantive and
procedural law to the production of legal documentation in the areas of family law, litigation, real
estate, wills and estates and corporate law. This course will help me learn extensive administrative
training, with an emphasis on problem-solving skills, by completing client files and integrating a
variety of current computer programs and specialized legal software .

I am aware that these experiences however fundamental are not enough to push me to the pinnacle
of the career that i envisioned. But i am strong headed to take this challenge to be able to not only
fulfil my dream but also to lead my life with a great satisfaction there by helping others to have a
better and healthy life with peace of mind. So , my this vision that involves being a helping hand to
the helpless all over the world would cover one step by getting a professional degree from a
reputable college. That is why I have applied in Conestoga College. From my research, I have seen
that your college is the best in terms of student life and graduate employability in this country,
coupled with the testimony of student interns who have acquired internships at top firms in the
country. I have concluded that this is the best option for my aspirations.

I understand very well the challenges that lie ahead and the requirements for this program. So,
without mincing words, I say that I am prepared for them. I am also bringing a vast arsenal of
personal experiences and a deep understanding of the World's needs due to my interactions with the
less privileged.
I can agree that my career path has not been a straightforward one but the self-awareness and
knowledge that I have gained over the years have made me realize that this is the right choice. My
undergraduate major has given me an unreal deep understanding of how the world works and
where I am placed but just understanding the system is not enough. I also want to bring a positive
and conscious change in people’s lives through working better with the system that put them in
these situations.

Why Canada?

I have a strong desire to complete my education in Canada because of the high-quality education
provided in all the academic institutes. Moreover, I am impressed with the cultural diversity of the
country and warm welcoming nature of the people. The multicultural environment promotes
friendliness making it a safe and peaceful place to live. I decided to register in Conestoga College as
the institute is well known and well equipped with for my ambitious plans to study and build up my
career. Completing my education from such a prestigious institute adds a bag full of academic weight
to my resume probing me winning opportunity and better package in competition to other people
looking for a similar position. Upon completion of my education, I plan to join esteemed firms in my
home country and serve my nation. With the international exposure and studying in Canada will
offer me to be in a better place as compared to my colleagues having local experience.

Why not India?

The foremost reason of studying abroad is the ever increasing competition in the education sector in
India. Also, if students compare the curriculum of Indian and foreign universities, the latter is better.
Unconventional methods of teaching in foreign countries assist in personality development and
hence attract students. Overseas Colleges do lots of experiments with the mode and style of teaching
which is not available in India. Infrastructure facilities are much better in foreign colleges as
compared to those in India. Indian education system doesn’t allow creativity and somewhere lacks
behind in adopting latest technologies in curriculum and it will restrain me to enhance my skills
development at international level. Whereas in Canada, they not only focus on practical based
learning but they also allow creativity in education and also provides more exposure to the students
which is further helpful in their career development.

About Sponsorship :

My parents are engaged in agriculture and also receive earnings by leasing their land and property. I
have already opened a GIC account with CAD 10,000/- to take care of boarding and lodging expenses
for the first six months after my arrival in Canada and submitted my first year’s fee at the college. My
parents will be supporting my education in Canada.

My father has a prosperous and well-established financial status in India.Though I am destined to

Career outcomes :

After gaining some international experience, I would like to come back to India for several reasons.
The first reason is that my family resides in India, I have a permanent home here.So after attaining
this degree at international level , not only my skills would be enhanced but also i would be more
confident which would make it much easier for me find a job once I come back to India .Since
Graduates of the Office Administration - Legal programs are in high demand and A  wide variety of
employment opportunities are available in law firms, government offices, real estate, insurance
companies, financial institutions and legal departments or corporations. So, having a Canadian
qualification in my hand would mean that chances of finding a satisfactory job, with high salary and
job level, will be higher in India .
Normally, after completing the diploma from India an average salary package is 3-4 lakh (INR) per
annum but with an International qualification, I will be able to earn 8-10 lakhs per (INR) annum and
another reason for going to Canada is that it’s one of the best countries to get the best education
available in the Administration in law stream which unfortunately most of the good Indian
universities do not offer.

Conclusion :

I know that studying in Canada requires a lot of discipline and dedication. I am a law-abiding citizen
and a very responsible individual.

So, I kindly request you to give me an opportunity to study in Canada as that will help me in realizing
my dreams.

The further procedures for the completion of my application and securing admission require
