Overview
This document covers the Fastpath SAP Extractor Utility. The Fastpath SAP Extractor Utility is an
application that allows security information to be extracted from an ERP environment and later
imported into a Fastpath cloud environment for reporting purposes. This process allows security and
segregation of duties reporting without adding any additional code to the ERP environment or being
connected to the live ERP environment.
The Extraction Steps will extract the required security information from the ERP environment into a
selected folder. You will then zip the files and upload the zip file into Fastpathassure.com.
Install the Fastpath SAP Extractor
1. Select an output directory (Directory destination for the files)
2. App Server Host – the machine name where the SAP application server is hosted
3. Client – the number of the SAP client that you want to connect to
4. Language – the logon language
5. User – the user that will connect to SAP and have permissions to select the data
6. Pool Size – the number of connections that can be made via this RFC connection ( if unknown,
put 5)
7. System Id – the system ID of the target SAP system
8. System Number (SAP Instance Number) – the system ID of the target SAP system
9. Password – the password for the user that is connecting to SAP

10. Installation Number – SAP Installation Number. This can be found from going to the menu
options in SAP. System -> Status -> Installation Number (This must match the Company ID in
Fastpath)
11. Locked options – This option reflects the values in USR02-UFLAG field. Default would be to
check all of the selections.
12. Click Translate
13. Zip the extracted files
Required SAP Authorizations
The read-only access required for extracting the SAP security information is highlighted in the table
below. A sample PFCG security role ‘Z:FASTPATH-RFC-READ’ has been included in the .zip file. This role
can be uploaded into the SAP system via PFCG.

Reviewing Extracted Files
The Fastpath SAP Extractor produces three separate files once the extraction is completed. These files
can be leveraged to import the extracted SAP data into the Fastpath platform as well as performing
completeness and accuracy reporting. You can import either the FPImport files or the Raw Data Files.
• CompletenessAndAccuracy.txt – File documenting the metadata of the extraction including system
details, raw data table record counts, import data table record counts, and more to facilitate the
completeness and accuracy validation exercises.
• RawData-xx-xx-xxxx_xx-xx-xx-xx.zip – Dataset includes the raw tables extracted from the in-scope
SAP system and based on the criteria selected during the extraction. This includes table names and
record counts.
• FPImport-xx-xx-xxxx_xx-xx-xx-xx.zip – Dataset leveraged for the import into the Fastpath. This
contains the table names and record counts which can be reconciled post-import with the Fastpath
“SAP Import Details” report (Integrations > Reports > SAP > Import Details).
Import extraction zip file
1. Login to https://www.fastpathassure.com
2. Go to Integrations > Connections Click on the Import button.
3. Click on Select Files and select the zip file you created in the previous extraction steps.
a. You must import as a zip file example “Data.zip”.
b. If importing the Raw data file create a comp.csv file and add it to the folder that
contains the raw table data before importing.
4. Click Import

5. Click on Import on the Import SAP Security Screen
6. It may take some time for the import to complete.
7. To review if the Import was successful, go to Integrations > Reports > Import Details
8. To test the data, go to Access Reviews > Reports > User Role List and check and see if your role
list matches your environment.
9. Then go to Segregation of Duties > User Conflicts and verify you see data when hitting submit.
10. For Completeness and Accuracy Reporting, go to Integrations > Reports > SAP > Import Details
