Hi, in lesson 2 in my assigned topic we are going to talk about,

“Measurement”. So, what is measurement?

According to the module, Measurement means determining the


attributes or dimensions of an object, skill or knowledge (Kizlik, B.). It
pertains to the process of obtaining a measure on a scale by quantifying
or assigning a number to a performance or any other assessment.
Usually, we use tools such as a ruler, scale or thermometer in order to
measure. When we think about measurement, it is a process of
estimating or obtaining the amount, the quantity, size, degree, length,
height, width, and etc. And we used measurement tools to determine
their measures. But it does not only limit to that, it can also be used in
determining the measure of your knowledge and skills. The keyword of
measurement is quantity. Quantity is the amount or number of a material
or immaterial thing not usually estimated by spatial measurement:
