Smartphones usage
So, I have prepared a little survey about smartphone usage, as I was very interested in how often other
people use their devices, and whether they feel the impact of smartphones on their health. I have asked
5 questions, according to which I made some statistic, that’s why it will be much easier for you to
understand the overall situation. By the way, 12 students took part in this survey . On the whole, the
time of using a smartphone should not exceed 6 hours per day, but many students tend to break this
rule, and spend much more time using it (we can see on the 1 slide that the most popular answer was ”5
and more hours a day”). The main purpose of using smartphone according to statistic is communication.
To cite one example, most of interviewed spend a lot of time using phone chatting or talking on it with
their friends, parents or relatives, especially when they are free in the evening or night. On the other
hand, almost all respondents admit the negative impact of smartphones on their health, in particular
such consequences as a headache, eye-strain and backache. By the way, they also would like to reduce
the time of using smartphones as much as it possible. The consensus seems to be that despite the fact
that most students have to use smartphones in any case, they are aware of the harm of phones and
don’t mind using them less.
