Program Title: 2022 SPJ End of School Year Journalism Training
Program Description: This training is designed for the Special Program in Journalism
students
Duration: 4 days (July 4 to 7, 2022)
Venue: Guimbal National High School New Conference Room
Management Level of Program: School Level
Delivery Mode: Discussion, Lecture, Presentation, Performance
Budget Requirements: Training Materials, token, honoraria of trainers & certificates ---

Source of Fund: SPJ Training Registration Fee
Rationale: To update the SPJ learners on the current trends and activities to
be undertaken in the new normal set up and to remind them of
their primary functions and responsibilities as part of the
program amid the schooltime pressure and demands and to
inculcate the values of compassion and cooperation in the
attainment of the DepEd’s vision, mission, and goals despite the
challenges brought about by the pandemic.
Objectives: a. To educate the new learners of what Special Program in
Journalism is all about;
b. To refresh the learners of the different strategies that
may be used in the 21st century journalistic writing;
c. To improve the writing skills of each learner for them to
become better journalists; and
d. To showcase their journalistic skill both in writing and
broadcasting.
End of Program Outputs: Participants put into action what they have learned from the
training through sharing and interactions among them, and
through a showcase of performance.
