Coordinating and subordinating conjunctions
We all know about FANBOYS and I SAW A WABUB. We use them
often in our sentences without even realising it.
Two of those conjunctions can be used to give a reason.

Cause and Effect Conjunctions
Cause and effect conjunctions are the gateway to giving reasons.
They are used to explain how things work or why something happens.
Which means!
Cause and Effect Conjunctions
The two parts of the sentence are joined together by the conjunction.
Cause = an event or reason
The playground was
that makes something
happen. slippery at school.
Effect = the result of that
It had snowed on
cause. It shows what happens
because of the cause. Sunday.
Cause and effect with a The playground was
conjunction = explains what slippery at school because
happens and why it happens. it had snowed on Sunday.
How do we use them?
Cause and effect conjunctions can be used at the beginning
of a sentence to talk about the sentence before.
They can also be used in the middle of a sentence to join
two independent clauses (sentences) together.
Most importantly to remember is that they can be used
either way around. Cause and effect or effect and cause.
She was very tired As a result of
as a result of working late, she
working late. was very tired.
These are some examples of cause and effect conjunctions.
