A.Preliminary Activity
1. Game
“What’s the weather”
“Look at the umbrella class”
-The teacher will sing the song “what’s the weather” together with the pupils.

- While the umbrella turning round and round, and if the song stop the pupils will going
to determine what weather is on the picture pasted on the umbrella.
B. Introduction
Introducing the new lesson by identifying and describing weather and different kinds of it.
Weather is changing, it can be sunny, cloudy, windy, rainy and stormy.
Here’s the different kinds of weather:
Sunny weather- The sun is so high, bright and hot. Don’t forget to drink more
water and use sunglasses or shade to protect your eye on the sun.
Cloudy weather- It is full of clouds in the sky and it cover the sun. It is a good
day to play with your friends.
Windy weather- It has strong blow of wind, it is a good day to play kite
Rainy weather- It has a shady sky and there’s a water drop came from the
clouds. Don’t forget to use umbrella, wear coat and boots as shield on the rain to
avoid getting wet and sick.
Stormy weather- The surrounding was dark, with strong wind and rain, it has
lightning and thunder, stay at home in this kind of weather.
C.Developmental Activity
1. Modelling
“Okay class lets have a play”
“If it is correct do two thumbs up and if it is wrong do one thumbs down”
-The teacher will show the different kinds of things together with the symbol of
weather and the pupils will going to identify if it is correct or not.
Across the Curriculum
Arts: Blue, violet, orange, green, yellow, red are the colors of different pictures that you
can see.
Mathematics: Two thumbs up, one thumb down is in the instruction.
Generalization
Okay class what are the things used during sunny day?
- Very good! these are sunglasses, hats and fan
How about during rainy day?
- Correct! these are raincoat, umbrella and boots
So what things we need do during stormy day?
- Good job! because it is dangerous
So what are the different kinds of weather?
- Very good!
Group Activity

Divide the class in to 3.
Group 1- Observe and draw the clouds in the sky
Group 2- Observe how the wind blow
Group 3- Describe how the sun affects the condition of the day.
