the final battle, Ferdinand Magellan's group was defeated and he was also killed by native Filipinos who
had many tattoos on their bodies. In that incident Antonio Pegafetta said “ They rush upon with iron
with bamboo spears and their cutlasses until killed our mirror, our light, our comfort and our true
guide when they wounded him, he turned back many times to see whether where all in the boats.
There upon, holding him dead, we wounded, retreated as best could, to boats, which were already
pulling off.” On November 8, 1521, the remaining troops arrived in the Moluccas with two of their ships
here and they decided to leave one to repair a Trinidad ship and the so-called Victoria ship decided to
return to Spain. The Victoria ship returned to Spain on September 6, 1522, the total number of troops
that returned was 18 that day and in the days that followed they reached a total of 35 troops that
returned to Spain. The good thing about Ferdinand Magellan's voyage proved that the world is round
