Anchor 1: Facilities would massively boost nation’s renewable capacity
developments and could mostly begin operating in 2025 (two thousand,
and twenty-five) to 2026 (two thousand, and twenty-six) .
Let’s hear the whole report from Lanz Oliver Ang, Lanz?
LANZ: Solar Philippines has taken a further step toward massively expanding
the nation’s renewable capacity, including one of the world’s top
projects that has the theme; “Solar is the future, and the future is
NOW”. “The firm has submitted energy contract offers that, if approved
by customers and regulators, would potentially amount to 9
terawatt-hours a year and enable a roster of 10 gigawatts of solar
projects to proceed” , the company said. The developments would most
likely begin operating between 2025 to 2026.
Solar Philippines is building 3.5 gigawatts of solar and 4.5
gigawatt-hours of battery storage with billionaire Enrique Razon. The
company said that the development has been described as the world’s
largest solar project, though BNEF data shows other proposals,
including from Australia, India and China, who are targeting more
capacity. Another unit is developing a 500-megawatt solar farm in the
Nueva Ecija province in the north, and the firm has ventures with other
parties including an Ayala Corp. unit.

Anchor 1: Nuclear Energy was proven to be 250 (two hundred, and fifty) times
safer than the use of oil and coal.
Let us hear more from Andrei Jordan Caguioa, Andrei?
ANDREI: In the Middle East, the birthplace of oil, home to 10% (ten percent) of
the world’s oil, the Emirates; has created nukes that will make the
energy they use cleaner and safer. Here is where the newest nuclear
power plant in the world has been created, wherein a small uranium
piece with an approximate length of an inch can replace 500L (five
hundred Liters) of oil and 1 (one) ton of coal which, in estimation, can
power a house for 4 (four) months. They created a big nuclear power
plant with more than a meter thick walls, and safe facilities that can
power 25% (twenty-five percent) of the country without carbon
emissions.
This is Andrei Jordan Caguioa, reporting for MLAND TV.

Anchor 2: Transitioning to a decarbonized energy system by around 2050 (two
thousand, and fifty) is expected to save the world at least $12 trillion
(twelve trillion dollars) .
Chester Ced Navales has more, Chester?
CHESTER: According to the University of Oxford, the research shows a
win-win scenario, in which rapidly transitioning to clean energy
results in lower energy system costs, rather than a fossil fuel system.
The study's 'Fast Transition' scenario shows a realistic possible future
for fossil-free energy systems by around 2050 (two thousand, and fifty),
providing 55% (fifty-five percent) more energy services globally. The
researchers analyzed thousands of transition cost scenarios produced
by major energy models and used data on: 45 (forty-five) years of solar
energy costs, 37 (thirty-seven) years of wind energy costs and 25
(twenty-five) years for battery storage.
This is the only Chester Ced Navales of MLAND TV.
Anchor 2: Philippine President Marcos Jr. met with top executives in the United
States signaling his determination to bring nuclear power to the
country.
Meyshea Egusquiza has more, Meyshea?
MEYSHEA: President of the Republic of the Philippines Ferdinand "Bongbong"
Marcos Jr. visited through New York with senior officials of the
revolutionary nuclear energy company NUscale Power. The nation will
examine the possibility of deployment of modular nuclear power
stations, as per Jose Manuel Romualdez, the country's ambassador to
the United States. In order to provide power, heat, and clean water on a
large scale, NuScale is developing advanced nuclear technologies.
The first and only nuclear power plant in the nation, the Bataan Nuclear
Power Plant, was shut down out of worries for potential mishaps. The
California-based company WasteFuel, which uses tried-and-true
technology to manufacture sustainable fuels, has spoken with
President Ferdinand E. Marcos Jr. WasteFuel transforms urban and
agricultural waste into low-carbon fuels, renewable natural gas, and
green electricity in an effort to address the climate emergency and
revolutionize mobility.
Anchor 1: BREAKING NEWS: W2E is at best a difficult idea, and it's probably
harmful given how it's promoted in the Philippines
Let’s hear more from Marilyn Ballena, Marilyn?
MARILYN: Former Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia made a
pitch for the expanded development of so-called waste-to-energy
(W2E) projects. W2E is at best a problematic concept; the way in which
it is viewed and promoted in the Philippines is most likely dangerous.
Plastic-derived fuel, which is already used in considerable quantities in
cement kilns around the country, is the worst. Any for-profit model, such
as the public-private partnership (PPP) model, will encourage rather
than penalize the irresponsible generation of waste.
